CB Silver Toned Base Scapular Sacred Heart Jesus Our Lady of Mt Carmel Medal, 7/8 Inch

Since my Brown Scapular kept breaking & falling off, I researched if a medal would be allowed as a true replacement. From everything I've read, it IS allowed. (Should be blessed by a priest or deacon, but once you are enrolled with the Brown Scapular - no need to be re-enrolled.) This medal shows the Sacred Heart of Jesus on one side & our Lady of Mt. Carmel on the other -- which fulfills the requirement. The medal is a nice weight & the chain is sturdy. I am very pleased with this item. And the price was very reasonable, too.

No dislikes. I used it to replace a 4-way devotional medal that was stolen, by placing it with a small crucifix and a miraculous medal. The Sacred Heart was one of my titles as an unvowed Carmelite nun (which I am not any longer), so Our Lady of Mount Carmel on the other side of the medal was also exactly what I needed. Thanks.

The medal is very cute and looks well made but the chain it comes with is terrible, cheap looking, and it doesn't have a clip! You CANNOT open the chain and it was too small to go through my head, which means I couldn't wear it at all. I returned it. If you're just looking for a nice medal, go for it, but you will have to remove it from the chain with pliers and use it with another chain.

Unlike others I looked at, the faces of Jesus and Mary are gentle and beautiful. As a secular Carmelite, it is something I value and wear constantly.

The medal is nice. Shiny and a good size. The chain is awful and came bent in several places( due to how it was zip tied in the box.) if you only want the medal and have another chain then great.

I have been looking at different versions of the scapular. This is the most detailed. I have also gotten compliments on how stunning it looks. It is a very nice piece.**Note this comes on a continuous chain that is tight going over the head. I am going to have a clasp added for easier removal.

Very nice two-sided medal. Chain length sufficient to put over head and seems strong.I would have preferred to be able to open the chain, or to be able to obtain the medal without chain.
