This keyboard is perfect! I was looking for something mechanical for gaming with a small footprint, AND a backlight, and this couldn't be better:1) Typing feels great. I chose Red switches, and everything is rock solid. All of the keys are as responsive as expected.2) The backlight is awesome. The three levels of brightness offer a wide range of intensity. No dead LEDs or anything.3) The function keys all work as expected, and synced with my computer no problem. I'm running Windows 7 Pro.4) Construction is excellent, and the device feels well put together. It has a good weight to it, and the grip feet on the back prevent it from sliding around my desk.5) The layout is perfect for a small foot print. I didn't have to modify my typing style at all when adjusting to this keyboard. It also lets me rest my mouse close to the right-hand side, which has helped to virtually eliminate the soreness I used to experience during longer gaming sessions.6) The keycaps feel nice. The font isn't anything to rave about, but it's plenty legible.It arrived in good condition, and comes with a key puller, a USB cable, and some alternate keycaps.Overall, it's been absolutely perfect and I couldn't be happier with my purchase.

Omg The Cherry mx switches are fantastic. The illumination can be set to off,low,med,high. The space on the desk is just perfect. If you have used a laptop keyboard without number keys then you'll have an idea of what you're in for when using this keyboard as far as space is concerned.What else to say? The keys are super responsive and don't have that bottom out feel you push they spring back up. If i have any complaint it's the spacebar it has a hollow metallic sound when you put thumb down on it but it's so minor... this is a really epic fantastic keyboard I'm so in love!!

I purchased the keycool 84 cherry mx blues at first, it was a great keyboard and sounded great, however it was way too loud. I reordered the keyboard with red switches, the best decision i made that day. Typing on this is so relaxing coming from a normal membrane type keyboard, it feels like silk. I actually like the sound of the keys on the reds vs the blue. The reds give a nice bump noise vs the clickclack. If you are looking for a good gaming keyboard, this is the one.

Everything is solid. All the keys feel great (using cherry mx reds) but i didn't get everything that was listed in the description. I didn't receive the travel case. Would've liked to have one for travel.
