A história parte daí e te envolve em toda relação que Lawrence desenvolve com os elefantes, principalmente com a matriarca. Super recomendo!

This book is a 5 star read. No matter if you are a new reader or have been reading books for years, this hooks you up with it and you want to keep reading. Lawrence did an amazing job at writing his experience down in this book. It makes you wish that you could also experience this in life. Great job!

This book has to be one of the best I've read. It pulls you into a different world and the warmth, passion and understanding of Lawrence Anthony towards all life is a joy to read. I didn't want it to end. It's rare you come across such an uplifting, warm, easy to read, very sad in parts, inspiring book.The loss of Lawrence Anthony to the world earlier this year is so tragic and there are few so dedicated, understanding, respectful and caring towards wildlife and humans as he was.I can't wait to read his other two books.

This is a wonderful book written by the man who became world famous after having very humbly and non-ostentaciously cared for endangered animals. The reader learns a lot about elephants and their ever- diminishing world - but in a sort of adventure style! It has its sad moments but is not a "tear jerker". Just true, enjoyable, and well worth the experience of reading it. This is definitely not a book for children! The title may suggest this, but it is definitely an adult book .
