Tough Bulbs
These are the same type of bulbs we used in our shop back in the '70's. These are NOT like regular light bulbs. They aren't even like standard drop light bulbs (which has a heavier filament in them then standard t light bulbs) these bulbs have in addition to a heavier filament it also has a "skin" of silicone on them making them VERY durable.GREAT PRODUCT!!! I haven't seen these bulbs since the 1970's and didn't think they were produced any longer. Thank you Amazon for carrying these bulbs.

Great for reptile basking light
Brightness: 5 starsLife: 4 starsOdor: 3 starsReptile usage: 5 starsBought this pack of bulbs trying to find a better alternative to the reptile heat bulbs offered by other brand names. Those bulbs are $5-$9 each and might last 4 months on 12 hrs a day.I setup the first bulb for my bearded dragon in Aug 2020. On 12hrs each day every day. It lasted until Feb 2021. That is a great value in my book. At 10 inch distance from the bulb I was getting a consistent 95-100 degrees F which is what I wanted for my hot spot. So far no complaints except the following: read belowThey need a burn in period of a couple hours before I feel comfortable using them inside. I'm not smell sensitive, but the silicone coating first time being heated up has some odor. It doesn't give off any smoke or anything, you just will know it's getting that coating set. I have a light set outside that I just exchanged the bulbs after about 2 hours and there is no more smell. I then bring it inside and put it in the enclosure light fixture.Overall I am happy and will buy another set in a yr or so when these finally run out singing multiple bulbs across several enclosures. What I won't be doing is running to the animal-mart every 2 months for a $10 bulb.

Solid performers so far.
I was concerned that these no-name lightbulbs might be dead on arrival. They weren’t. We installed five in a ceiling fixture. All work just fine. The are not quite as bright as the last batch of 100W regular incandescent bulbs we had, but they more than bright enough for work purposes. The color temp is on the warm side, but not annoyingly so.Hopefully, the bulbs will last for a long time.I’m going to order another package, so we have backups.Jerry

These bulbs are toxic.
These 100 watt incandescent bulbs are not designed for basic home lighting fixtures. They are for infrared lamps and "appliances", whatever that means. They are coated in PFAs and silicone and smell horrible when turned on. Don't be fooled into thinking they are "regular" bulbs. I was unable to get my money back from Amazon and they are expensive.

Tough Maybe, But Not Very Bright
Like a guy I know, these lights may be tough, but they sure aren't bright. If you need a bulb that can take some abuse, but don't need a great deal of light, these are great. They may start out as 100w bulbs, but after the not-clear rubberized coating is put on, they do not emit nearly as much light as regular 100w bulbs. I am using this bulb in my garage door opener, which has tow bulbs, one in the front and one in the back. The other bulb is a regular 60w bulb. That bulb and this 100w bulb appear to put out the same amount of light, with the standard Lift Master covers closed. Together, they certainly out out enough light for getting in and out of the car, taking stuff out of the trunk, and the like. But, if you want to detail you car or tinker with it mechanically, the light produced is passable, but not ideal. As for toughness, I did drop one from about 3 feet high onto the concrete garage floor with no resultant damage to the bulb.

Beautifully silent.
I have an antique floor lamp with a mogul fixture. It's gorgeous but the light made a loud, constant, obnoxious humming. I bought a converter for the mogul base and these bulbs because I read that their stronger filament meant less humming.Instead of less humming, there is NO humming. I am beyond thrilled. It's true that "100 watts" does not mean as bright as a regular 100-watt bulb. It's enough light for my needs, but keep that in mind if you need the brightness of a regular 100-watt bulb.Update: One bulb has lasted nearly 2 years, and I use it A LOT.
