I use it to run some astrophotography equipment and to have a red light for my rig. Works reliably.

When I bought my NextStar telescope, I figured I'd get by with just disposable batteries, but soon learned that that might have been an error. I bought this to save on batteries, and it works. It is easy to use, provides consistent power to the telescope, and as a bonus, has a red/white led to illuminate the area if need be. It is not what I'd consider "light" weight. If you dropped this on your bare toe, it would no doubt break it. It does does come with a strap to attach it to a tripod leg, and another strap that can be used to attach it just about anywhere, so you can place it somewhere safe and out-of-the-way. Weight aside, I only wish I had bought it earlier.

Unfortunately the battery doesn't come with an adapter that suits standard western European wall sockets - contrary to what is shown in the picture and in the manual!Even though I have bought the fitting adapter, battery doesn't charge which seems to be relatively common problem based on other reviews here and numerous forums in the field of amateur astronomy.

I purchased this to replace my old Meade LXPS7 power pack. This new one charges faster, straps easily to the leg of my Meade ETX 90 telescope and works a treat. hours and hours of use. very happy with it.
