fit and works perfectly
These gaskets wear out and need to be replaced every year or so. I'm so glad I was able to get it through Amazon!(The size gasket you need is inscribed on the bottom of the pot. Genius!)

It's the right size
It's hard to find 22cm. I had an old one that seemed to be okay, it was discolored and seemed to leak even though it wasn't cut. My Duromatic works great now. This is expensive but Kuhn Rikon is the best.

Works as promised. Make sure to measure your pot from the inside rim of the pot (not lid) to get correct size.

Clean After Every Use
I purchased this as a back up when I got my new Kuhn Rikon pressure cooker. I have a 14 year old K.R. and I am still using the same gasket it came with, and it looks like new. I have been told that the gaskets should be changed every year or so, but my old one still works fine - no leaks, cracks etc...I wash the gasket after every use and make sure it is dry before putting in back in the lid. I called the manufacturer and asked if it was necessary to oil it after every washing and they said no, as it is silicone, not rubber.

I voted down due to high price of item
Replacing these various parts on Kuhn-Rikon starts to get pricey. I voted down due to high price of item. These will need routine replacement. Wish the company would find a way to create and sell a less spendy gasket so the ongoing upkeep on the pressure cooker is less.

Even fit my Lagostina pressure cooker
I bought as a back-up for my new kuhn rikon duromatic. I also have a Lagostina pressure cooker made in Italy that I bought 8 years ago. But the gasket has become hard due to age. Lagostina no longer sells in the USA.Much to my surprise, this gasket also fits the Lagostina. Now I have 2 pressure cookers. Woo hoo!!!

Don't be confused by the measurement (measure your pot not the lid)
Review from the Mrs: I accidentally scorched my gasket by turning on the wrong gas burner with the Duromatic lid on top of it. Glad to have a new one! I was a little confused about the correct gasket to buy, because the 22-cm refers to the pot diameter, not the lid diameter, which is much larger (no way I could read the etched numbers on the charred bottom of my much-used pot).
