Behringer Xenyx 1204USB Mixer with USB

Bought it for a specific broadcast use and was excellent. This is the second one I purchased.

So far, the mixer is working well but every time I turn it on, all of the diodes blink. (?)

While admitting I am WAY under using this board, it is simple a fantastic piece of equipment. I record a weekly podcast and wanted to bump up from my original board which was FINE but lacked in the full rich sound that I knew my other gear was capable of producing so I bought it as my Xmas present to myself. The sound and functionality of this board is amazing for the price, and let's be honest I bought it for the sliders...to be able to fade and rise the sound without stopping what you are doing and look at the knobs is SO satisfying.I've one minor quibble, for the life of me I could not make the USB connection work properly, and I am sure I am the moron. I could get the sound to come IN to the board, but I could not make anything but the XLR mics go back out TO the computer. Now, I had a 1/4 inch to USB interface from my old board that I just plugged in and everything worked fine, your mileage may vary. Again, I am pretty sure I did something wrong not the board, but be warned.Still, SLIDERS are AMAZING, they make you feel like you are studio producer and Def Leppard and laying down tracks on the other side of the glass, even when you are just doing a dumb podcast.

When starting a podcast, I looked at several different mixers. There are a couple reasons I settled on the Xenyx 1204USB. The most obvious reason is that it has sliders instead of knobs for volume control. When doing a podcast, audio levels need to be adjusted on the fly and you don't have the time to stop and look at the board to fidget with a knob. Sliders will always give a smoother, more precise adjustment. Hands down that functionality makes this board worth its weight in gold.Want allow Skype calls but still want to record them into a main mix? This board can do that. with USB controls you can determine what audio you are wanting to send back to the computer and to the caller, but run sound out of your main outs to another audio device. For me, that audio device is a Zoom H5.Last but not least, this board is a beast when it comes to podcasting with good mics. The built in compression, kill buttons and phantom power for 4 mic tracks give you complete control over the mix and if you have quality microphones you will have a mix clear enough that the listener thinks they are in the same room.If you are looking for a good rig to record music or start podcasting, this is a surefire start that will get you where you need to be in no time!

I purchased this product for home broadcasting.Why I don't like this product;- Not any informative documentation along with the mixer. It came with 2 docs. one is a product catalog from Behringer, all ads. The other one is a cheap paper printed (5-6 languages) product description but not much info.- It does not come with driver installation CD. Which may be OK, because many people have internet connection and can download needed drivers. However, the behringer website sucks. There is nothing under the download section except the photos of the mixer (as if you will download them print them and post them on your wall). However, if you dig enough there is drivers under the section support. But still not well explained. You might even be directed to a 3rd party website for downloading drivers.- These two above are not my big concerns. One of the big concern I have is,there is always a background noise. Not even anything is connected to mixer. Only monitoring headsets or speakers. There is some noise. And my second main concern is recording sound quality is 16 bit 44100Hz CD quality, whereas playing sound quality is 24 bit 192000Hz Studio quality. There is a huge difference. (e.g. hook up the mic and record on Audacity. This quality will be much lower than a record out from the main mix on another machine which is running Audacity.)- I was undecided when ordering this. Please make sure that this is the one you want it.Why did I give a star? Oh, well USB connection was simple one in and one out.

The media could not be loaded. This audio mixer board achieved the job for me. Having all of my audio going through this broad,which consists of (14) gaming consoles with alot of know how.Which to stream with OBS Streamlab platforms like Twitch, YouTube and Facebook Gaming. This unit makes my job easier. When engaging on discord, while streaming. Which I've tried a different audio mixing broad without USB Interface, but having USB interface makes the job alot easier. The buttons behind are made "VERY WELL" You might become a little terrified with the wires and adapters for the jacks , but afterwards you won't be able to do without it. The audio adjustment are PRICELESS !( PS had this unit for 10 Months NO ISSUES - Knock on wood)Update: (3) years having this audio board and (7) more gaming console later and counting. My review stands (This should had been my 1st. Choice) No issues with the craftsmanship works as if from day 1 of purchased. Added photo of today's setup with mixer board is the center of it all.
