These are kind of pastel and I really love the way they look. All the flashing is terrible, I never like the flashing, but its easy to set any of the solid colors, or the multicolor, to solid. All you have to do is push the solid color button, or the little multicolor button that looks like a beach ball. When setting the multicolor to solid, it also lets you alternate with a red white and blue theme.One thing to watch for is underpowered USB ports. I plugged mine into a usb hub that is powerful enough to charge my keyboard and trackpad by drawing from my computer, but it gave me an error that the lights were drawing too much power when I plugged them in. It also was flashing periodically even on solid, which resolved entirely when I plugged it into a powered USB port.Not sure about longevity, I'll try to remember to come back and update. :)

Ended up returning the ones in the pic to the right because I initially wanted the classic yellow/gold lights, but they ended up being like an alien/ neon green? So I ordered these colorful ones instead, way better. Love the colors!

I used zip ties and hung these around under my daughter's loft bed. They are the perfect length to go around the entire thing and she absolutely loves that she has a remote for the colors and different settings.Update: these lights have ran for 3 years straight and just quit working. We have absolutely loved the different modes and the colors. I am ordering a new set for her.

These lights are super cute and very user friendly. These are super super bright though! I wish they had a dimming option but they work as they should and the remote works great. I love that they are USB compatible because theyd be great for the office. They do have a variety of light colors and functions but not all colors have the functions. For example-if you choose strobe, the light color is only red. You cant choose like teal and make it strobe. The rainbow colors in the lights are super cute-theyre just too bright.

I wanted to love these so much, and I did the first time I plugged it in and played with the settings on the remote. Then I tried to use it again, but the remote was broken. Thought it must just be the batteries, but I replaced them and it still wouldn’t work. So now I can plug it in and the white lights come on, but no remote, cannot turn on or off without plugging/unplugging it, and no colors or functions. Complete waste of money.

Lights are very bright and look good!! I originally bought these for a different project, but I needed a longer length and these are not connect-able... But they ended up fitting perfectly in my living room window! I put them on the inside of the window to be seen outside, so idk about weather proof.... but the remote works good and there's a button on the USB port, that also works fine to switch thru modes... the only thing that bothers me is there's no 'pattern' to some color changing modes or there's like multiple of the same color in a row, just random like no pattern...But I'd still recommend and/or buy again.

**if you get multiples, label your remotes!!** these lights are beautiful with many colors to suit any mood. I find that you get a lot of product for the value. The remote control works quite well, as long as you point the remote toward the plug. Love these so much.
