A Special Orange Pekoe from carefully selected lush Green buds, is exceptionally fine rolled to produce a mellow character. Suitable as a hot or chilled brew with a slice of Lemon. The term Orange Pekoe is used in the tea industry to describe a basic medium grade black tea consisting of many single whole tea leaves of a specific size. Black teas of the basic grade (Orange Pekoe) are highly fragrant, with strong floral and fruity aromas, as well as a pleasant woody note. The taste should be slightly bitter with no astringency, and a sweet aftertaste.

found it!
I have been looking for loose leave tea here in the US to duplicate the bottled Kirin Straight tea I had in Japan. This is the closest I have found. Nice.

Excellent tea, excellent service
The tea arrived in a timely manner. The containers are sturdy and airtight (and reusable). When brewed, the tea exceeded expectations - the leaves were large and resulting tea was consistent with tea purchased in Sri Lanka itself (very tasty). I know my Ceylon tea, so if you are worried about the tea quality, don't be (at least for the 2009 batch).
