This may replace my hot air popper.
This is a decent alternative to a hot air popper, one that my kids can use on their own. It pops 1/4 cup of kernels (4 TBSP) at one time, and takes less time than our hot air popper.I found that the time it said to pop (2 minutes and 15 seconds) was about 30 seconds longer than I should have let it go. My first batch came out a little over done. My son ate it all though, and then he made the second batch by himself and he put it in for 1 minute 45 seconds and it was perfect. Your microwave will vary, so just experiment. My microwave seems fairly powerful, so I am always reducing cook times.I am so in love with this because it gives my older son the freedom to make popcorn any time he chooses now. The batch size is perfect for just one person, and it's quick and easy to make, and unlike my hot air popper - this doesn't over heat after a few batches - because it's just a bucket!I do want to stress that you need to use hot pads when taking it out of the microwave. It is still pretty hot even after letting it sit. I was sort of surprised by that, but it is what it is.I got my popper at no charge for the purposes of this review.EDIT 7/6/16 - my kids use this primarily when I'm to lazy or not hungry enough for a full batch of air popper pop corn. They are able to use it easily and it's been kind of a nice thing to have. Makes them more independent about getting their own snacks.

Works well, gets floppy when hot
Does not cook as fast as the Presto 04830, but you don't need the inserts either. Takes about 1 min longer to pop a batch than the Presto. Also gets very hot, and very floppy when hot. Otherwise works well.

NOT PURE SILICONE
All right, let's be serious here for a second.1. I received this product for free or for $.99 in exchange for a review. It arrived promptly. I liked it. I like silicone cookware.2. I contacted the vender or vender's representative to find out if the product was made of pure silicone. I inquired if it had any bisphenol-a (bpa) or phthalates in it. I inquired if it contained a filler of any kind. I also directed my question to Amazon using the Have a Question window on the product page. I received no answers from the vender or vender's rep, nor did any of the reviewers here offer to answer my question. Nor did my question appear here on the product page in the Customer Questions section.3. I decided to test the material myself. I put it in the microwave half-full of tap water and cooked it for one minute and thirty seconds. The cookware came out warm to hot, an indication that it is not pure silicone. I squeezed the material between my fingers and lo and behold the compressed material turned white, an indication the material contains plastic filler. Pure silicone is inert and non-toxic. Plastic is not either.4. The material has an odor out of the box, even after thoroughly washing with soap and water. The material had an odor after I heated it it up for the first time in the microwave. Obviously, if you are cooking and eating popcorn cooked in this corn popper, the odor from the filler or material will be masked by the smell of cooked popcorn. Personally speaking, I care about what I put in my body.5. Most of the people who have reviewed this item seem to care more about stroking the free samples' engine than looking out for the health and welfare of the consumer.I have no desire to leave bad reviews on products, and I gave the company and/or its representative every opportunity to provide me a guarantee its product was food-grade safe. I became suspicious when I smelled the product and when I noticed there was no BPA-FREE wording on the product page. Moreover, I found the wording FIT and HEALTHY in the product description to be disingenuous at best. At the very least, a FIT and HEALTHY cookware product for the microwave should be BPA-FREE.I will post a picture of the filler in a couple days. The reason I don't do it now is because reviews with photos can take days to post.Thank you for reading this review.

Whoever thought of this idea definitely had their thinking cap on that day!
I had never seen anything like this before, and I've seen a zillion different ways to make popcorn, so I definitely knew when I saw this one that I wanted to try it. When I received the Kinbury microwave popcorn popper in red it arrived in a smashed up but padded envelope and I couldn't even remember what I might have ordered that size. Much to my surprise, when I opened the package I was like "whoa, what the heck"! LOL!I rinsed it out and followed the instructions to make my first serving of popcorn. I was worried I wasn't venting it properly but I guess I did it right - nothing got burnt and it tasted fabulous and of course, like always, the smell of freshly popped popcorn had the family running into the kitchen for theirs!I had to insist they let it cool before yanking it out of the microwave since I didn't want anyone burning their hands - no handles on this baby. As I poured the popcorn into serving bowls, I noticed there were no unpopped kernels - very impressive Kinbury!I think this popper is really going to remain a big hit in my house - the popcorn tasted great and gobbled it all down! I put a little popcorn salt on it and it was fabulous! Whoever thought of this idea definitely had their thinking cap on that day!If you found my review helpful it’d be great if you please click yes below.
