Very well made, works great!
Just got this setup and running. Surprisingly well made for the price. Wish I bought it sooner.

I had to retire it.
I used this for quite some time and it would probably be fine for others but I had to retire it. It always worked. What did not work was the accuracy I wanted. I finally retired it and understand why after taking it apart, it is nothing but a micro switch with a bent steel lever to trigger it that has slack in it. If you really want your Z level dialed in pass on this, if you work in wood or anything that just needs a fast reference it will be fine. I ended up going with the probe and Z adapter from here and I love that one.

Excellent touch probe but...
If it werent for J Sokoloff's review, I would have probably returned it. I mean why sell in the USA if youre not going to provide instructions in English. I gave it 3 stars not because its a bad probe (its actually well built and very accurate) but what good is it if you dont know how to wire it up. A note to the SELLER... please provide a manual in English. It's a great product but you may be losing potential customers.

No Instructions!!!
As mentioned in other reviews no English instructions, assumed maybe this would have been addressed by now. Not even so much as a wiring diagram that is of any use. Will be returning it. HOT TIP: if you’re selling something in the US it should have English instructions.

The tool is fine, but it really needs to come with usable instructions.
I really struggled with whether to give 4 or 5 stars here. Ultimately, I settled on 5, but it was a close call because the lack of instructions (and associated wasted time) was pretty aggravating. However, once that was behind me, the tool is a good one, so a couple hours of frustration vs years of good service ultimately had me wince and put down 5 stars. Here's the wiring information that should be in the instructions:There are 4 wires, in two pairs. The white and green pair is the emergency over-travel limit. These wires are normally-closed and would therefore be appropriate to wire in series with your Emergency-Stop loop on your CNC machine. That way, if the tool setting program fails for some reason, the E-stop will trigger before the tool gauge is damaged. The brown and black pair is the sensing pair. This is what you bought the tool for. They are normally-closed, and open with a small and repeatable amount of actuation on the top of the tool gauge. Send power (max of 24VDC, max of 20mA current) through the loop and when the tool touches off, the loop will be broken and your CNC or tool setter will need to sense that to gauge the length of the tool and/or the Z-offset (usually).Bottom line: it works well. A printed page of (or downloadable link to) English instructions would have been greatly appreciated.

Good repeatability, NOT water proof.
Repeatability was good enough within 0.001 but coolant got inside and corroded everything in short order. Strange because the coolant I use (qualichem) has never rusted or corroded anything.Update* 6/7/2023 I purchased another one and coated the internals with dielectric grease and sealed everything with silicone before putting it service. I also 3d printed a cover for it. It has been working flawless now.
