This game offers many things. First is components. The components are sturdy and the art is clear and vibrant. It comes with standees but they look great. The board is composed of tiles that are moved at the end of the turn to recreate the side scroll of a beat them up video game. Also the cards are well made and the tokens seem decent. They won’t peel apart like many of my gloomhaven. The game comes with four hearses to choose from and more if you buy the other game and combine the components. Is easy to learn and teach and simple to play. As stated is a beat them up so you will go several rounds clearing the map of enemies that vary in strength. The game is coop so the enemy mobs are control by a deck of command cards that is easy to understand and well made except that the rules can be a bit co fusing in this area. The rule book is of good material and semi gloss which is a nice touch but a bit difficult to grasp regarding the AI deck as is not clear how many cards to draw and when to stop drawing after you get the redraw symbol. But other then that it was ok.My con is first the size of the box. Im convinced they could have made it smaller. Second the plastic insert is not the best. With the size of the box they could have done better. As it’s stand the box have three card size slots and one large slot where you kind of have to dump all the tokens. No baggies included so you must get your own.Overall this a great game to just get out on the table and have a couple drinks ( your choice here. I go with some nice saoco) and have a good time. Takes about 45 minutes depending player count. And prepare to die often. You will use those quarters (what serves as extra life tokens) until you are grasping for air and then you get that perfect roll that sends the boss to his end. It feels amazing.

This is nostalgia board game. It feels like river city, double dragon, or streets of rage... But it is only that. It can be repetitive quickly...

Pros-Easy set up-Easy to play-Easy clean up-Very fun co-op game so no animosity between friends/family.Cons-Some difficulty understanding game mechanic at first.-Once you defeat a boss there is no win screen.Overall you will have a great time playing this board game with friends/family, just buy it already and be sure to purchase the expansion so you have more heroes and baddies to play with.
