You can't remove the door protector without removing some of the wood stain on the door!
I really like that you can't see the door protector on the door. I really like that it is easy to cut to make it fit a small area of the door where my dog scratches at to enter the room. I found it was hard to apply the protector in just the right place and had to pull it off to reposition it a few times and each time it pulled off part of the wood and stain, which really upset me because the advertisement for it said it would remove easily and would not remove paint or wood. I didn't want to pull it of yet again so it isn't quite straight on my door, which you can't tell unless you look real close because you can't see the protector on the door unless you get real close and look.

LOVE IT!
I just received the dog scratcher yesterday and I love it!! It’s worth the money as is going to save my door. The instructions are very detailed. It’s easy to use and works well. I also have the same dog on the packaging, Shiba Inu. Very good, smart dogs. But yes he does scratch the door when he's ready to go outside. It's just excitement. I'd rather buy the scratch protector to save my door than buy another door or get rid of my Max.I'm glad I saw this on my neighbors door and asked her about it. Great product. Happy with my purchase.UPDATE: There are 3 door protectors and I noticed that Max also scratches at the closet door that we keep his leash in. So I used one on the hall closet door as well. No hasn't lifted the paint either and all 3 are reusable. Now to find another door he scratches at.

Removes the paint
While putting the sheet onto the door it wasn't exactly in the right position so I gently lifted up and it removed all the paint on the door. So I had no choice but to put it back in the wrong position so that the paint that came off on the sheet was not as evident on the door. Very disappointed in that. I bought it to protect the paint and in seconds the paint was chipped.

Doesn't stick well
Its only been a month and it's already starting to peel off. Have to keep re-applying it.

Works like a charm on my freshly painted door.
I used it on my freshly painted back door. Our Dalmatian scratches to let us know she wants in. After several weeks, there is no signs of damage and the Scratch Door Protector looks like new.

Great
Just had our outside doors repainted, so we bought these to protect where the dogs scratch. We were able to customize the size for each of our doors. Easy to do.

It CAN pull off the surface
I put this on doors that are stained not painted. The surface is old and when I pulled them off to reposition there were little flecks of the surface on the film, so maybe it happens on old surfaces. I will say that I can pull the film off and re-position easily and my 8 lb yorkie cannot pull them off. The film is thick enough that they don't bend, fold or curl. I cut them into 4 inch wide by 10 inch long strips and they are working fine. I gave a 2 rating because the most important thing is that they're advertised that they don't pull the surface off but they can. Also I was not sure if they stuck on by means of static electricity but they actually are are sticky from some kind of adhesive.
