A great aid in making our pup slow down
This slow feed dog dish has been a great aid in making our pup slow down. He was a rescue, and I guess because of that he always devours his food like it the last time he will ever eat. This dish has slowed him from seconds to minutes! Plus, it makes him do some problem solving as he figures out the best approach to getting his kibble. At first he was a bit intimidated by it, though certainly not enough to stop him by any means. However, the more he uses it, the more comfortable he becomes with it. I can tell by where his tail is - it started out hanging down all the way, and has risen a bit with each feeding, now being almost all the way back up over his back. I would recommend this dish to anyone who has a dog who just inhales their food.

Great dish!
I have a mini dachshund. She's always been a piggy eater - finish quick hoping for more. We tried a gobbler stopper (plastic bone stuck to the bottom of the bowl) but she managed to figure that out. This bowl maze really works. She doesn't seem frustrated by it and now she takes about 4-5 minutes to eat. We feed 1/4 c crunchies & 1/4 c soft. She seems satisfied & happy when she's done. I'll have to buy a brush with longer bristles to wash it as dishwashing is not recommended. I would recommend it if your dog is also a piggy eater!

It sure did its job
Before having this product I had another that was way too big for little cookie (whom) is a chihuahua. I was worried that the gaps on this would be too large but after reading plenty of reviews and looking at pictures and videos, I have in and purchased this bowl. It honestly did slow down cookie A LOT!!!! No longer is she gulping down her food as though there won't be any for years to come. She actually slows down and enjoys her meal now. And it's also sort of like a puzzle to her (it makes her think) so I'm glad she is also entertained 😌 I loved this product and totally have recommended it to friends and others !!! Thank you !!!

I will have to order a larger size for him when he gets older if he doesn't slow down but I love this bowl
if you have a puppy this is the bowl for you! I have a 2 month old border collie and when I ordered the other bowls they didn't work, they were too deep for him to get any food (I later saw that it said for 6 months or older so that was my mistake). This bowl however is not too deep and it does make them work their way around the grooves to get their food and slows them down. He went from eating in 10 seconds flat to 5 minutes eating 1/2 cup of food. I will have to order a larger size for him when he gets older if he doesn't slow down but I love this bowl!!

Slowed down our CRAZY eater
This is a great option for dogs that eat too fast that isn't the dispensing balls and toys - TOO much noise with those. Our 1 year old puppy could gulp her bowl of food in 15 seconds, and would then pester the other dogs for theirs. Now, she's down to about two minutes, and the older dog with the regular bowl gets finished first. It isn't the 10 or more minutes that others reported, but it's good. And my 10 year old IG wags his tail the whole time he is eating from his. Great product, doesn't slide around the floor, and should someone chew it up we have the guarantee.

Might help a 16 year old canine pig live to be a little older
Does what it's supposed to. Slows down a piggy pup. My old dog can't see very well so it takes him awhile to find his food. Not a bad thing. He used to wolf down his food and start gagging. We've tried many kinds of slow eater bowls. This might be the one. Only negative and reason for 4 stars is the sides are very shallow. Food can spill over. It's not that the amount of food is too large for the bowl, Greedy boy is very old so I wet his kibble and warm it up for him and some of the liquid ends up on the floor.

Part of our Routine
As a pet sitter I've watched my share of terriers over the years, but nothing could have prepared me for adopting my terrier mix, Buzzbee. Buzzbee has boredom issues, and if I don't find ways to entertain him while I'm away at work he entertains himself (and then has anxiety attacks over what he's done). The "Guzzle Muzzle" bowl has been a huge help to us both especially on the busy mornings when I don't have time to load his food into his Kong before rushing off to work. It's not as engaging as some of his other toys, but it's a valuable and low maintenance part of his "anti-boredom" routine. I highly recommend this bowl for anyone looking for a simple engagement activity for their dog at feeding times.

Really works...(seriously)
Pretty simple and yet effective tool. We've had 2 Bostons that eat way too fast and cause their tummies to get upset. We tried giving smaller portions and other methods with some good outcomes. A friend recommended a slow feed bowl and we found this one online. It seemed to be the best quality. It's been only 2 weeks and the change is amazing. The dogs didn't love the Waghaus - they worked through it and I think actually enjoy 'hunting' for their food. It works perfectly with their short muzzles and all the tummy issues, the coughing and hacking - all gone! Can't say enough good things about this product.

It works!
Yup, my parson russell terrier does not cough up food anymore. :-) It gets her mouth working (not sure about her brain) for sure. It takes 2-3 times longer to finish her food. But given that my puppy is small, it does not increase the consumption time significantly. She still inhales her food but the major difference is that she takes one or two kibbles at a time instead of 10.

One of the better ones!
The best - so far - of several feeders we’ve tried. Our pup has learned to “master” it somewhat but it still slows him down from “vacuuming up” kibble like he initially did! We have the small size for our (now) 4 month old Sheltie and it will do through his lifetime. Our daughter bought the larger size for her (now) 5 month old Malamute.

Not bad...
My husky puppy eats really fast so I bought this. Yeah it slowed her down for the first minute, but I guess she's too smart. She grabs it by the edge, picks it up and throws it down. Makes a mess everywhere, she definitely gets her kibble! Lol

I really like this bowl
My 8 week border collie took about 5 minutes to eat his wet food. I really like this bowl. I think a small works for pretty much any dog.
