Zach King: My Magical Life Paperback – August 21, 2018

Just finished reading. The story is engaging and fun- although I wished for more complexity in the characters (one girl seemed purely evil). But I guess this doesn’t matter so much for a children’s book. The plot alludes to some tricks that King did in his videos, which adds an interesting layer, a back story to what we all see as special effects. The AR app on the other hand, is SO COOL!! The effects are so well made that they literally pop right out of the book pages. The digital images almost perfectly align with the actual pages, and you can interact with the animated images. The depth effect and 3D objects are so realistic that I couldn’t stop turning the book and look at them from different angles. Bravo!! Ps. The digital art for the ice sculpture is too beautiful- it even shows the warped text “behind” it!

Amazing book! I loved the story and how funny it was!!! I would recommend this book series to people that like books about magic and funny stuff! 🤗😌 age is appropriate for 9-12 age kids who like to read chapter books!

First of all this book looks amazing! The illustrations are so wonderful and I absolutely love the app that comes with it. The app brings all of the pictures alive. Which really just embodies what Zach King does. He is an illusion magician. it's just so cool. I literally just sat down to start reading it so I will try to make another review Once I'm done reading the book, but so far I am absolutely loving it and I think it's really cool that once you take the book cover off the book still has all the Illustrated cover and Illustrated back. I am so proud of you Zach. Bravo Bravo 💞💙💞👏👏👏

My son is severely dyslexic and struggles with reading, because of this, his desire to read is pretty low. However, he really enjoys the YouTube channels of a few folks and Zach King is one of them. Now that they are making a crossover into books, and Zach has made it so creative with animated pictures via the app and a smart phone, I am hoping my son will find the joy in reading that I have always enjoyed. We just started reading the book together and so far, it seems well written and the story is developing well.

My four year old son loves Zach King. I wasn't sure if he would like such a big book or that he would be able to use it on his own, but he LOVES this book. He is always laughing while he watches the pictures and I must say that it is really neat. The only thing that would make me love this book more is if it was spiral bound so it was easier to hold the book open and the phone at the same time. We are looking forward to the next book to be released!!

i mean when i saw the cover picture i thouth it was gonna be kinda lame but i was qurios so i bought it (i had o other boks to read i kinda liked it but the endd was sad(SPOILER: he loses is snap backs)overall it was fun to read and it has a second book so more magic?

This book is good for little kids with big imagination, this is about a kid named Zach king and explores his magic at middle school. There are little comics so your kids can enjoy the illustration of the comic it is also a good start in reading. My sister she is 8 and she loves it. This is also a about true person so kids can have fun with the book.

Any Zach King fan will love this book! There's a ton of throwbacks to old videos, plus the story features several of Zach's real-life friends including Aaron and Rachel. Kids will relate to the struggle to fit in at school. Lots of mischief happens, but in the end the book has a great message that "you don't have to be cruel to be cool". Tricia, the villain, really is cruel and manipulative, providing a formidable opponent to the fun-loving main characters. Recommended for readers of all ages!
