Was a Strict LG User Until They Stopped Making Phones, TCL was Tops On My List & Didn’t Disappoint!
Being a guy who has bought the LG G series for the past 15+ years, I didn’t know which way I was going to turn when I heard that they were stopping making phones. Knowing how incredible my TCL TV is, I decided to give their phone line a shot and I’m glad I did. This is essentially an LG G Series on steroids. A better camera, more memory and faster interface, without all of the bloatware that usually comes with phones from any manufacturer. A 48MP camera +3 other cameras that include macro, zoom, wide and normal. Essentially a camera for any situation. The pictures look incredible from it and what doesn’t, can be made to look incredible through the incredible photo editing software. Allows you to record 4K/30 video, with HDR. Not to mention, higher frame rate lesser resolution video. Just in case you want to do some slow motion capture. The phone itself is clear and allows you to use both regular and HD audio via Wi-Fi. it has a 2K HDR screen, that is crazy bright and looks incredible. Definitely the brightest phone screen I’ve ever seen.Other than that, there’s not much to say about this phone. And that’s a good thing, because most phones come with a ton of bloatware from different manufacturers. This one does not. It’s what you want to put on the phone and very little else. Which helps save battery life, which is really good for this phone. Lasting more than a day on most charges, depending on what you do and use it for.I truly didn’t think I was going to find anything that I could replace my LG with. Because I had used one for so long, and loved them… TCL was the only thing I thought about replacing it with because of how much I love their TVs. Not only for the bright HDR, Dolby Vision TVs that are quarter of the price of any other manufacture. But their service and dedication behind the company itself. To produce high-quality electronics at a great price. For which I can now say they do on at least two of their products that I own. Truly a great company that I can get behind and will continue to do so for many years to come.If you were an LG user just like me and are looking for something to replace your favorite phone in the future or now, this is the perfect place to start. Not only will you get all of the functionality and more of your LG, you will get features that didn’t exist on those phones. Not to mention a really bright HDR screen and crazy high megapixel camera on top of it. They have a regular model that this is and A pro model which is simply this phone with more memory and higher megapixel camera, at 64 megapixels. For me, this one was fine, as the camera on this phone is already 28 megapixels more than that of my LG. Which already looked incredible with pictures and video. This phone also has two separate flashes on it. Which I would imagine we will make nighttime pictures look even better. Not to mention video.Overall, I am very happy with this phone. Which also has a ton of accessories, which is surprising being that this is their flagship model year phone. I got the pearl white phone, for which I am used to having black phones, but this color and I’m usually not a fan of white, is ridiculously modern looking. It has a true pearlescent look to it. Which shimmers when you move it in the light. With a rainbow of colors. It is the neatest Color I’ve ever seen for a phone. So much so, that I got a clear soft rubber case for it, so I could see that shine through because it looks so good.I can’t say enough good things about this phone. When I got it, changing it over on my Verizon network, was as simple as taking the service card and 128GB memory card out of the LG G6 and putting it into my TCL phone. I turned it on, and everything worked perfect. Without having to log into Verizon‘s website and change a thing. Which was a concern of mine.So stop listening to me and go buy one now. You will not be disappointed. This phone is every bit of high-end that the latest iPhone is and only cost pennies on the dollar. I do recommend that you get the pearlescent white if you can. You will be amazed at how incredible it looks and how much you won’t want to cover it up with a case. Enjoy!

An Excellent Cheap Phone
I bought this phone for around $175 after amazon's extra savings. I never expect this cheap phone to be this good.1. The phone comes with a screen protector and a clear case. This again saved a few bucks.2. The phone has a traditional 3.5mm earpiece phone jack which is convenient as most people already have one such earpiece.3. Activating on the Metro mobile network is almost instant. Its internet speed is quite fast and reached 46/17Mbps using this phone, as shown in the screenshot.4. When connected to 300Mbps home wifi, this phone reached 291Mbps while I am on the second floor and far corner of the house.5. This phone's camera is quite good as well. I shot a few photos, and they all turned out to be perfectly fine. This phone can definitely challenge some older versions of the DSLR cameras. That being said, this phone may also need some improvements:1. This phone is occasionally slow in dialing out phone numbers from the phone book.2. To shot super macro photos and get them focused can be a very challenging task. Additionally, it took a long time for a 48M pixel photo to be saved, and hence it is impossible to shot sports or moving objects in 48M pixel.3. Considering the current corvid-19 pandemic, this phone is not water-resistant and hence non-washable.Overall, it is a great phone considering its price. Its battery can usually last about three days, and video/youtube is smooth. I am impressed by this phone's overall performance. I highly recommend it!

A-GPS Malfunction, otherwise, good phone
The "Google Location Accuracy" does not work on this phone. In fact, it may reduce your GPS accuracy from the normal range of 12.4 ft to 200 ft on average, but sometimes will be as poor as 500 ft accuracy. Both the Amazon help and TCL tech support recommend having "Google Location Accuracy" turned on. If your GPS is malfunctioning, turn "Google Location Accuracy" OFF and restart the phone. The phone is a good price for a lot of the features, however it also means that some of the hardware is sub-par. The GPS receiver seems to be overwritten by the malfunctioning A-GPS which is turned on when "Google Location Accuracy" is enabled. The TCL tech was unable to advise me to disengage the A-GPS, so I relied on an informal website with an anonymous reply on a TCL 10L review forum. I tried both an ATT SIM card and verizon SIM card in the phone in case the problem was with one of the providers SUPL servers, and both gave inaccurate GPS readings when the A-GPS was enabled (Google Location Accuracy). This may only be a problem with some TCL 10L phones, but if yours happens to give this issue, this is the fix; DISABLE "Google Location Accuracy" and restart the phone.
