Worked with Windows 10 PC to old HP Laserjet 6L
I somehow got this to work so I could print from a DOS word processor (Xywrite 3+) running in vDOS in Windows 10 Pro on a cheapo "Mini-PC". The word processor sent printer code directly to the Laserjet 6L through this USB to parallel port converter without going through a windows device driver. I'm not sure of the details, but I did it! (I think the key was in "Printer Properties" under the "Ports" tab I selected the USB port instead of LPT1).

Nice 3ft cord
This cord worked good. It is too short for my purpose though oh, I thought it stated it was 4 feet long, it states that it is 3 ft 4 in Long but mine was only three feet exactly. I'm not sure if the lanes got switched from 4 feet or if I just miss read it. It is a nice item though if all you need is 3 ft of cord . it's a good price too. I would recommend it if your computer and printer are right next to each other.

Recommend the cable
Recently updated Windows 7 Updated computerto Windows 10 computer works Great the printer is 12 feet away in in another room on the other side of a wall shared by 2 computers no or none of the automatic share USB switches barely work You end up having to use them as and a MB switch and manually switch the printer to where you want. But this is easier Don't have to push any buttons. Both computers are Windows 10 one computer is hooked up via USB the other computer is hooked up with this cable Parallel to USB and also using Amazon Basic e Extension cable listed below. The printer works great the printer is a Kyocera FS-820 has a USB connection and parallel connection using Both connections At the same time.Oh also it is best you plug the USB directly into the computer and Not and Through None power USB hub that is connected to the computer Because THE computer may Not recognize the printer that's through a non powered hub we haven't tried to that powered supplied hub plugged into the computer we only noticed it wouldn't work through a USB hub.. We use this extension cable it is below is a 3.0 It's backwards compatible to USB 2.0 the computer we have a connect to doesn't have any 3.0 USB ports and it still works great....https://www.amazon.com/AmazonBasics-Extension-Cable-Male-Female/dp/B00NH12O5I/ref=gp_aw_ybh_a_4?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=MQDWPZZVMGKJ418C9YEX Thank you

Works well.
Received this cable quickly and attached it between a USB jack on a print spooler and the parallel jack on a Brother MFD printer. Worked immediately and without any glitches.

Breathed new life into my old receipt printer
This thing worked instantly! As soon as I plugged it into my win10 machine, the drivers were installed and a port was created for this device. My only other step was to install generic text drivers for it and I was able to print to it in no time. Every feature on the printer worked, including the cash register signaling and the cut paper signal.Overall, I delayed paying 200 bucks for a new receipt printer by another 2 years by paying about 6 bucks for this cable! Totally worth it!

Doesn't work.
I had to use an adapter cable to get my Canon BJC 80 to work when I got my Windows 7 computer many years ago. It took 4 minutes to print, but at least it worked. Well, I was forced to upgrade to Windows 10 (like millions of others who were abandoned by Microsoft when it stopped supporting security updates for that OS), and I had the same issue when I "upgraded" last week. So I bought this cable in the hope that it would solve the time delay issue. It did not. In fact it did not work at all. So I am forced to go back to my old set up and put up with the delay, but at least it works. This product does not, I'm sorry to day. And I see no way to call their tech support.

Worked as desired.
I used this to connect an old HP LaserJet 6P to my laptop - it works great and allows me to keep using the old workhorse printer.
