Finaly!
I have had, and built, several TOS shuttlecraft models over the years. (I probably still have one in the basement somewhere.) No, they weren't totally accurate to the show. But they sufficed. They were the only thing we had. Sure, there were people who took the time to "accurize" those old models, but most of us just made due. (I did cut the windows out on one to see the interior, but without lighting it didn't show as well as it might have.)Now, we have this new model. The pros:1. It is VERY accurate to the show. I really love that! It will take some painting skills to get it to look just right. But it will look great on a shelf or desk! (Don't throw away the box. That's where the painting instructions are.)2. I like that they include decals to make more than one shuttlecraft. The Enterprise had several (e.g. Galileo NCC-1701/7). (If you want to make a different shuttlecraft, maybe a starbase version, you can buy blank decal sheets to run through your printer. You just have to create the graphics.)3. I like that you can assemble/glue the door open. For a diorama that is great! (Of course, if you do, you can't ever display your model as in flight.) Also if you do...The KAHNS!!!: (Lol. Sorry, I just couldn't help myself.)1. As wonderful as this model is, it has no interior. It has clear windows, but no interior to see through them. I'm thinking there is either an interior kit coming from Polar Lights, or someone has a great opportunity to make one. With 3D printing nowadays, it shouldn't be all that hard. I may do it myself. (I have already found at least one lighting video for this model.) There are interior parts for this model available on Shapeways.com, but they are a bit pricey.2. Which brings me to my second con. $50? Really? For a model with no interior? I know, I know, things cost a lot these days. Injection molds aren't cheap (I have designed them professionally) and there is a pretty small market for Star Trek merchandise. (The sarcasm meter just pegged out.) Still, I paid the money. It IS after all, Star Trek, and a pretty fine model too.3. There is a door on the back of the shuttlecraft that can either be shown open or closed. Not hinged? (I may have to do that too. I can think of at least three ways to do it.)I will wait some time before assembling my model in the hope an interior kit will be offered. (Once it's built, adding an interior becomes challenging.) It too will likely cost a lot, but as a model-building Star Trek fan, I will buy it. And the light kit. And probably a diorama base in which to display it. And little characters to show walking around it or seated within the not-as-yet-available interior. (Polar Lights, I'm looking at you.) At some point, if nothing materializes, I will scratch build my own interior. I am already planning it.Conclusion:This model kit is a long-sought-after gem and I plan to enjoy it for many years to come!

Very nice model for Star Trek Fans
I wasn't sure of the model size, but it is an excellent size model to complete after opening the box and seeing the model parts. Once completed, it will be an excellent display to show. My personal belief is that the price is reasonable for the size of the craft once completed. As it states, lights for the Shuttlecraft, "are not included."The model is 11" in length.

accuracy
This model does not come with any interior as the one I had in the seventies did but it is rather large and that makes it and excellent candidate for lighting. The detail is spot on to the original series. Note that the shuttle of the original came with minimal lighting because they simply has no budget nor the tech for it. I added strobe and nav lights since that what they would have if they were able. So there . REcommended.

Superb kit, they outdone themselves!
One of the best kits I have ever assembled! Parts fit was perfect, little to no flash to trim. The only down side was some of the parts the plastic had swirls of color where it was not mixed properly, fortunately it was on parts that were going to be painted.

Star Trek shuttle craft.
The folks at Round2 models did an excellent job at creating this model and is very accurate to the Original design from the classic StarTrek however, it would have been so much better if the included the interior , chairs, control panel.. etc.

Sweet ride!
This is better than a damn fine cup of coffee. Very accurate with possibly the roof panel lines. No interior at this time. No light kit option yet either. Way cooler than the old AMT kit!

I was not made aware that this item came from the USA, the price was in pounds sterling. Hence I was shocked when I had to pay 20% VAT at the post office to pick up this item, making this a very expensive item. Amazon you have a duty to let your customers know this might happen.
