Can be faulty
We have one of these as part of a Simplisafe system. The rest of the system is fine but 1 of these sensors is faulty ( it announces that it needs a new battery at least once a day) and the company refuses to change it citing a bug in the software that 'is being addressed in the US' . I have been given the same script several times over several months. Another of the sensors works fine.Of course, one doesn’t know if the sensor is 'crying wolf'- and my last attempt on their helpline revealed that the battery was indeed low. They are replacing the battery.Advice to purchasers- don’t accept it if you get one of the dud batch and insist on replacement.
