Q: Since these batteries are exactly the same size as black and decker's 1.5 ahr, how can they be 3 ahr?

Short answer: they aren’t. While there are 3AH cells that are the same size as 1.5AH, they are pricey so I can assure you they are not in this battery. Aftermarket non-OEM batteries almost NEVER meet their specs. Instead of good quality cells and proper protection circuits that the OEM uses, no-name Chinese manufacturers use whatever junk they can get their hands on. If you’re lucky, you’ll get 2AH out of these, with reduced cycle life as compared to the OEM.

Q: Where are these manufactured?

Do Not know, this day and age you can never really be sure where something is manufactured, don't believe what you read on the package. What I do know is they work! and at a good price.

Q: About how long do these batteries last on a weedwhacker and/or leaf blower?

I just purchased these and they last only around 15-20 minutes on my leaf blower. This is the same as the battery that came with the blower. I was hoping for at least 30 to 40 minutes. ☹️
