You Had Me At "Kukri"
I was in search of a great Kukri. I bought directly from EGKH but returned their knife because of a defect and found this one $10 cheaper. It also had the bonus feature of a stopper by the choil. This is going to replace a hatchet for camping. I plan to use it for batoning wood and chopping branches. Although the seller is Nepal Handicrafts, the knife has EGKH stamped on the blade. I am pretty sure most of these blades are all by EGKH and sold by them or a third party.First, I will mention the positives. This blade is everything I wanted it to be. It is a solid 3/8" thick plus! I wanted it on the stout side. The handle is beefy and fits my bear paws well with the finger grooves. On my previous EGKH purchase, the wood had chipped off at the choil so I decided to get one with a stopper like this blade. Can't complain. I LOVE the look The wood is a sweet mahogany color. It wold look good if you were a WW2 re-enactor and wanted something to go with your vintage era firearm. Very classic look. I believe it will perform the way I expected. The two blades on the back are average. I didn't understand why one of the "Chakmak" had no edge. I wondered if it was poor quality control and why they were sending me a knife cutout. The reason for it is because it is a sharpening tool and not meant for cutting.Next, like the other reviewer mentioned, the scabbard is not at all what the picture looks like. It is literally a dog chew toy. Your dog would seriously eat this if he found it. I knocked my review down two stars because it's a combination of false advertising and shoddy looking workmanship. I would have someone make a kydex sheath for this.Pros: Sturdiest Blade, Home-made, beautiful wood, Stopper, cheap.Cons: Scabbard provided by Petsmart. It's functional but may need an upgrade. If anything changes, updates will follow below....

A very different style - well worth the look
I had my doubts about this order, as the Sirupate style is not what I thought of as a "classic" Khukuri, and in fact, I almost returned it upon opening. I'm glad I didn't. This is a very light and very fast knife. I own several Khukuri from different manufacturers and this is my favorite. I use all my tools - I don't collect or buy things just to look at. I don't "baton" with my knives - I have a small hatchet to split my wood with. Having said all that, this Khukuri is a well made, hand crafted piece of gear. I carry it on my hip when in the field, and it serves me very well. It it not pretty - the blade is not polished and it is very obviously made by a skilled blacksmith. It is exceptionally sharp and very easy to sharpen. The sheath is very functional and works as designed. It does not have the retention of a custom kydex sheath - it's not designed to. It is light and at 10 inches, the blade lacks the "belly" of the more common designs, but having used these tools for years, this is my go to.

Authentic blade thickness; customizable
I was looking for a kukri with a thick blade spine and this did it for a budget price. Ridiculously thick. The handle was blocky and I did not like the finger grooves so I grinded that down and smoothed it out. Sharpened the blade on a belt sander because it had a very thick edge on it from factory. The sheath was authentically junkie. I made a kydex sheath for it as a replacement. I took it on as a project knife and love the outcome. Just know you will probably want to customize it but is totally worth the effort. It is a BEAST. I attached a pic of the finished result with kydex

Knife is awesome but arrived dull, sheath was made from a dog rawhide toy leather
Shipping was great, arrived wrapped in bubble wrap. Knife was so dull, I could press hard and rub my thumb on it without cutting myself. The small skinner knife was also very dull. The sheath seemed to be made out a dog rawhide chew toy leather. It was super thin and crunchy, and was packed with some kind of sawdust or something. Just horrible. This is a great company making handmade kukri knives, and I was super pumped to get one finally. The knife, if it was sharpened properly, would be everything I wanted it to be: big, tough, sharp, and ready for anything. The sheath really killed it for me. I'm sending it back but hopefully a different one will have better QC. Give them a try but be patient. Hope this review helps.

Good Kukri
This Kukri is very nice. The wieght is on point and holds a good blade. Not a fan of the holster. That needs to be replaced. Its way to stiff.
