Wow ...... I wanted a nice backgammon board . I got what I wanted plus a lot more . I'm so very happy with this board . Very well made , larger than I thought it would be and beautiful when open to be played. Chips have great weight, cups low noise. Great surprise ...... very happy 😊 pam

Beautiful set! You can absolutely see and feel the quality. We returned a less expensive (but not cheap) set and went with this one and we are so happy we did. The difference between the two sets is unbelievable. The handle on the case is heavy duty, the clasps have a very nice quality chrome finish, the weight and size of the playing pieces is fabulous and feel good in your hand, the covering of the board is flat and straight and most importantly to me, the points are NOT sewn on but are completely flush so your pieces can slide right across the points without getting hung up. We have the green, black and white set and the outside of the case is a solid black nicely textured leather type material- I can only assume it’s not real leather but it feels like it. Also, if you are not an instruction reader, there are two spacers in the compartments where the pieces go to allow for an adjustable fit. They are not attached to the case on purpose but if you didn’t read that in the instructions, you might think something is falling off (like I did for a minute, lol). If you are at all considering one of these sets, I don’t think you are going to be disappointed—we are so happy we chose this one.

My wife and I are Backgammon addicts, we play every day. For the record, this board is beyond perfect. Its a bit bigger than I thought. Play on it is almost silent when you throw the dice. The fact that the points are printed in instead of sewn in makes the play even better. If I could give it ten stars, I would. So very very well crafted! The fit and finish is perfect!

This is not the cheapest option, but I wanted a board that would last and would be aesthetically pleasing to use.At first I was a little overwhelmed by its size, but soon got used to it. If you’re on the cusp with size, you’d probably be fine with the smaller model.The build quality is great: Weighty ceramic pieces, a layer of firm padding beneath the felt, and a handsome exterior with cool snapping buckles.The dice cups have padded trip lips, a feature I’ve read is missing from lesser sets.Overall a great set that I expect will serve for a long time.

We were looking for a quality backgammon set. Pieces that have heft, a board that plays smoothly and dice that roll well yet are not noisy. After doing research, we decided to go with a Silverman set. The next step up was double the price. There are cheaper sets but these everyone seemed to say held up well and are more comparable to the 250-350 sets.The board is seamless. There are no stitched on points. Game play is smooth and not noisy. The pieces fit well into the set when it folds up and are of good weight. The dice are ok, nothing special. The doubling cube is fairly large which is good. The rollers are ok and lined lowering the noise level.We decided to get the green material as it is less harsh on the eyes. The bright blue we considered but decided against as it seemed too bright for our taste. If you are going to play for a while the green color just seemed to be the best fit.The hinges and clasps are off good quality and it is a sizeable set at 19".Overall we are very happy with this choice and would recommend to others highly.

Quiet surface to play on. The pieces could be slightly heavier, but, very luxurious feel and nicely crafted fit. Would prefer heavier dice. Love the large doubling cube. Good colors on the board. Little large to travel with, but, great for around the house.

Worth every penny. Pictures don't do it justice. Arrived in perfect condition. Made from nice materials which are pleasant to the touch. The checkers have a nice weight to them as well. We're very pleased with it.

Nice set. I wish the felt board had leather inserts for the price I paid. The disks are nice and solid.
