GISTRoad Bike Bra Defender, Black

Worked perfectly! I travelled from VA to SC and back. And it was bug season. My bike usually got battered by bugs. This time my bike was bug splatter free. I just had to throw the bike bra in the wash and it was good to go again.

Good Bra, decent quality, and very functional. It should come with a cover for the drive train.

On second use, a Velcro strip came off and left a hole in one of the legs covering a fork. Amazon will not take returns after 30 days even for a product defect. And Gist would not honor any warranty because it said it did not authorize sale through Amazon.

Used in conjunction with a Vicenta Water Resistant Durable Rain Cover (totally covers your handlebars andbrifters, keeps your bar tape dry and bug free). The Gist Road Bike Bra kept the frame from getting encrusted with a zillion bugs. We drove 1,800 miles with my Lemond on the roof mounted bike rack and it really did a great job! Recommend using both for any kind of long drive.

While this mostly did what it was designed to do, there are two problems. 1) there is no way to secure the back flap to the seat without it flying off after a few seconds of being on the road. It needs a hook or something. With an average-sized bike (54cm) it just doesn’t fit. On my wife’s extra small bike, it’s even worse (looser). 2) the material rubbed off on my bar tape and left a stain. I may be able to get it off with a magic eraser - not sure yet. But I have bright white bar tape. I use a more rubbery tape. My wife’s cork bar tape did not suffer the same fate. Not sure why. But mine was tighter fit and a different material.All that said, once I pulled over and tied off the back material that wouldn’t stay on the seat, it did hold on the front and protect mostly from bugs and dirt. So it wasn’t a complete waste. I’ll actually use again but I may need to cover my bars with someone so they don’t stain again.Update: After a couple of uses I can say this is not the best product. The stains never came off my bar tape and the straps used to attach the item to the fork all broke after one use. It's poorly made, unfortunately.

Just used this bike bra on an 1800 mile road trip--it worked beautifully to keep bugs and road grime off my bike! I had read other reviews complaining that the back part over the seat came off en route & since my bike has a very small frame, I reinforced the part covering the seat with a couple garment clips on either side of the seat post (hard to see in my pic, sorry. Adding a pic of the clips separately.) One of the front velcro pieces on the front fork did detach so I'll have to sew that back on (hence 4 stars instead of 5) but otherwise the bike bra held up well in both windy & rainy conditions along the way. Wish it was a less expensive for what it is but the expense was worth having a clean bike, and after washing the bra is reusable for the next road trip!

It fits my road bike extremely well and protected my bike on my long road trip. Well worth the addition.

It rained on us when these were on our bikes on the roof of the car. They got wet but we never dreamed they would fade. One bike had an expensive light colored saddle which is now essentially ruined and a weird mottled grey. Fortunately the other had a black saddle and both bikes had black handlebar tape.We've run them through the wash now and hoping that they won't fade again.They also don't fit super well - the part that attaches to the saddle keeps falling off during transit.Not very happy with these.

We bought two bike bras for our trip. Both failed the first time we used them. One loop on each fork extension ripped apart while on the bike rack for less than 5 hours. Do not recommend this product. Definitely let us down. Disappointed!

The bra itself served really good, but the elastic laces/hooks on the bottom were torn right on the first travel.

Recently bought two of those before going on a little roadtrip. One broke on the highway the first time we used it. The velcro fell off. The other held good though. When it works, it is really good for the price though.
