Good purchase to pass time
The media could not be loaded. So to provide some background I have never owned or operated a dirtbike in my life nor have I have I ever worked on one before but am semi handy as far as doing my own brakes and oil changes on my cars and even tune ups .After months of research I pulled the trigger and made this purchase as my starter bike as I simply wanted a hobby to take up time when I'm off from work .It took me about 4 hours total worth of work to assemble and you will need help if you don't have a stand to get the front wheel on as this bike is heavy I had to use a ladder and ratchet straps to get the wheel on and that was the hardest part .The bike comes with shipping oil but it needs to be changed before the first run with 10w40 or 15w40 bike oil be carful because there is a difference . This was a 50 dollar mistake I made that will hopefully save you the hassle . You will need 2 quarts along with the purchase as the bike talks about 1.5 .Not sure where all the bad press came from maybe earlier models but most if not all the kinks have been ironed out .Performance wise given my background and experience this bike is more than enough and I do mean more than enough it pulls hard and I'm 6ft 255 pounds and have fear going beyond second gear . I am slowly building up to 3rd . I finished the build filled with premium gas changes the oil and the bike fired right up . Be mindful the choke will be on and needs to be open to start in warmer climate . I had a leak at first run attempt but that was simply the feed hose slipped off in transit I reattached and boom no issues and quick start every time with no choke .It comes with an Allen key which I was tying to figure out what is for but quickly realized it's to adjust the idle . You will need to bring the speed up slightly and won't have any issues with it running after that . I'm on day 3 and all has been fine .Bike came sooner than expected and has been a blast so far.I used karma to break into 3 payments I would say pull the trigger buy it now . Will update after some time but for now it's 5 stars .

Runs good
So far so good - about 75 miles so far on it. Fast shipping and assembly was fairly straightforward and the bike fired up without any problems. Had no trouble getting the title and registration at the WV DMV. I'm 6'-2" 200 lb and it carries me around pretty well, probably better than I was expecting.

Know what your getting before you buy.
Would recommend if you have mechanical skills. Waited for the 1000 mile mark to do the review so here we go.AssemblyFairly simple and straight forward. Be sure to blue locktite everything.FunctionThe fuel gauge did not work out of the box. Luckily the bike has a reserve tank and I am used to not having a gauge.Speedometer is not accurate, between 5 and 12 mph off depending, the faster you go the worse it is. Also the needle tends to jump at speeds over gps verified 50mph.Be sure to drain the oil that is in the engine when delivered. Can not speak on the stock carburetor because I removed it and put a nibbi racing carb on during initial assembly.Lights all function well enough. No issues on the engine it's self so far however I would suggest upgrading and changing the spark plug ASAP if you install the nibbi as this was causing the bike to run rich due to poor ignition.Tires preform well after the brake in and are barely showing signs of wear.At 6'2 190lbs with 35lbs of gear top speed is 63mph after changing the sprockets to a 17/45.Overall I would buy again. Regarding the fuel gauge and speedometer issues, I did not attempt to contact the seller for replacements because these are not important to me, use gps for speed and keep track of miles driven or fill up soon after you switch to reserve.

Overview of the Hawk
In my opinion, this is a great bike for the beginner rider. Plus, the experience putting it all together gives you an advantage by understanding how it works. Although there is no written instructions on how to assemble, there is a video there to watch (although written instructions with pictures would be nice). It was very easy to purchase and coordinate the delivery. The seller does a good job sending and notifying all of the needed information.

Does not run well: Update!!
The factory carb on these sucks. Mine will not sustain idol. I contacted customer service and requested they send me an upgrade carburetor such as a Mikuni or Nibbi. The battery dies quickly on these bikes (is there an alternator on a bike?) also the decals all peeled off within a month of having it. Im not a gear head but im mechanically savvy. There is no reason a brand new bike with zero miles shouldnt run. Iv put two miles on it due to it not running or wanting to start.Update: Do Not Buy This Bike! I was only able to put 7 more miles on the speedometer before the shift lever and transmission no longer engaged. It got stuck in 1st gear while showing neutral on the gage cluster. The transmission now gives off a burnt clutch smell that permeated the oil and smelled terrible when I emptied the oil to see what the clutch issue was. The shift lever has a huge amount of movement along the shaft that enters the crank case to the clutch. Customer service wont help me because Im past the 3 month warranty even though I have only put 9 miles total on the bike and had issuesSince day one. Please save yourself the hassle. I was sold a lemon and they wont do anything to my the situation right. X-pro just tells me I have to buy parts even though its brand new and I never abused this bike or used it past the 9 initial miles and it came from x-pro with 2 miles on the speedometer.
