Tofu is our current litter of choice. No smell in the house and easy to keep a clean box. Clay litter is just the worst and this is the best alternative I’ve found. We were using clumping paper litter (awesome) but it became hard to find and very expensive.We’ve used crystals with other cats, and with current cat as well. But clumping litter makes it easy for me to monitor my cats output. She has a history of UTI so knowing how much she has urinated helps me catch any issues early. She is on a controlled diet which has resolved the issue but it’s still one of the easiest ways to spot a problem.Long hair cat with very hairy paws. This litter does NOT get tracked. We trim her paws and use an oversized mat as well. Every once in awhile, there might be a piece that sticks to the back of her rear leg but, it’s one piece and easily cleaned up.Cleaning the box is the easiest out of all litters. Any leftover at the end of the month gets dumped and the box doesn't require any scrubbing. Dump, rinse, sanitize, and dry. Super easy.Scooping this litter is less of a shake and more of a slide. Meaning, don’t aggressively shake the clump - let the loose litter fall back into the box. We use a simple box so it’s easy to access - I just lift up one side of the box and the loose littler will move away, then just scoop out the clump. If there’s still loose litter, angle the scoop to let it slide off. If you shake it lose, the clump will fall apart.You MUST scoop this litter. I think of this the same as my toilet, no one wants to use a toilet that hasn’t been flushed. Plus, just gross to leave it. Why would you want those smells in your home? My cat is fairly regular and she shares my bathroom so it’s easy enough to scoop twice a day. Smell of the litter isn’t unpleasant and the texture of clumps reminds me of cookie dough (sorry, but true). The good news is it sticks to itself more than the scoop or the bottom of the box. A simple Clorox wipe keeps things clean.

This litter is exceptional.The green tea scent does not smell that great, but it's extremely absorbent and easy to clean. The best thing about this stuff is the lack of dust and clay-like particles.My FAVORITE thing about this product is the EXTREMELY SATISFYING sound the bag makes when you open it: the litter is vacuum sealed (I thought it melted in transit) so when you expose it to air, the insides collapse into the bottom of the bag creating a wonderful cascading noise that made my cat and I meet eyes in excitement. 11/10

I bought two packs since I have two cats. Plus I read that the pee clump is like dough so maybe if there is more litter and it doesn’t hit pan less cleaning for me.Pros: covers pee and poop smell better than the pellets/pad system, less cheaper than the pellets/pad system, clumps well, little tracking. No dust.Cons: two bags seemed like not enough for two cats? I bought this at the beginning of the month in April and it’s only been 7 days and I can already be able to scoop to the bottom with ease and hit pan and see the bottom of the pan already. I feel like the pee clumps so much of the litter for some reason. They are the size of a baseball most of the time. The clumping is also not as solid either. It’s more like dough like and soft and if it gets stuck to the sides or corner of the pan, it will get stuck and messy to try to clean and scrape off the pan. As well as the scooper. It’s just a big doughy mess. One of my cats doesn’t mind peeing right in the center and it’s an easy scoop but my other cat loves peeing on the sides and corners and those cause a hassle to clean sometimes.Overall, I will purchase again because it works for me in the mean time with two of my cats and the smell is sooooooo much better than the pellet system but I might switch brands of tofu litter that does a better job at clumping.

I’ve been trying different cat litter for my kitten and decided to give this a try since it’s nontoxic, dust free, eco-friendly and flushable. This stuff smells horrendous! It smells like rotten fish. My entire apartment smelled like fish. I used it for 3 days and got rid of it. If it didn’t smell so bad I would definitely continue using but the smell was just horrible 🤢🤮!

Update:The last four bags of green tea that I received smelled horrible, which is weird because the green tea scent is usually great. Sent the seller a message. Zero response. So I contacted Amazon and they are sending replacements. If the replacement bags are not green tea scented I will no longer purchase this item.It could be that a huge pallet went out marked and colored as green tea, but was not scented properly at the factory. 🤷🏼‍♀️Original:Alright my people. When it comes to tofu cat litter, this is What you need to know.If you are the type of cat person that only scoops a couple few times a week, this product is not for you.For best results, scoop twice a day per cat. It’s biodegradable and flushable. It’s a different way of living. I keep my litter box next to my toilet. When I go to the bathroom, I scoop too. It takes seconds. (Instead of minutes upon minutes of excavation, when you don’t scoop daily.)Also tofu litter does not work the same way clay litter does. First, tofu litter will not hurt your cats digestive system, unlike clay litter. Tofu litter is dust free with less tracking. It clumps well. BUT you can’t let the poop and pee sit for days on end. The sooner you scoop the better, smell wise.My cat grew up in South Korea so he was already accustomed to the pellet form of litter. Some cats might need time to adjust.I always buy the green tea sent. My cat never smells like cat litter.This is an earth and animal friendly cat litter! I will never go back to clay litter.I have one large cat. I put in two bags of tofu litter into his big litter box. Lasts about 4-5 weeks. I scoop 2-3 times a day. No smell. Minimal effort. Just flush.Give it a try!
