I have been using my dad's safety razor since 2006.. And in the recent year, it had become very rough but was still working.. But last month, it broke.. So decide to buy a new one finally.. And after some research found this to be better to go and ordered it..Received it fully sealed. But before starting to use it, I was little skeptical, like, Will it give sharp cut like it gave from my dad's!!! But when I used it, wow it was "Smooth as butter".. Did not give any cuts and the shave was so sharp.. Almost 98% in first cut (with thick beard hair) and rest 1.9% in second shave.. But that 0.1% remains.. I think that 0.1% is common with most razors..So I will recommend this..The only question is, my dad's survived for almost 20+ yrs (he was using it before that).. How long will this survive.. Even if this survives 5 yrs, its good..

Positives: 1. Light weight, 2. Easy to assemble and disassemble, 3. Durable, 4. Easy to use, 5. Cost effective, 6. Good for travel also.You need to practice using this Razor if you are used to triple edge blade razor. If you are patient, you can get very smooth shave, even if you have tough beards. You need practice using this around sensitive areas like neck, upper and lower lip areas. Find out the right pressure to apply to get good shave. Follow the guidelines given by blade manufacter. Change your blades frequently as per the guidelines.Negative: You can't avoid cuts and burning sensations. Keep a good aftershave.

Cheap quality. Thread damaged. Highly Overpriced for quality.

Bought this product on 20 May 2022. Have used it for 2 years.Handle is rusting. The top piece is showing signs of corrosion (green). These safety razors are supposed to last forever. This razor does not look like it will last more than 2-3 years.Doubt if make is SS 304. It’s definitely not rust resistant.It’s an average razor that can get the job done if you use it carefully. I have nicked myself when shaving in a hurry. No nicks if I shave slowly and take my time.If you decide to buy, do wipe and dry the 3 different pieces of the razor properly after use to prevent fast rusting.I would not give this razor more than 3 stars.

This is my update about the gunmetal colored version of this razor, I purchased three Spade razors ie two chrome colored ones and one gunmetal colored one, also purchased Schythe and Trowel, the chrome colored Spade is okay but in the gunmetal colored Spade razor the points in upper plate to hold the blade are defective and that is a major quality issue with these Chinese made razors, unfortunately I tried the gunmetal colored one after a long time of purchase, so before buying beware of the quality issue and keep in mind that there can be a lot of blade alignment issue. I am going to write an update about the chrome colored version, I would like to add that today I shaved with this as my whiskers were almost of five days, although I am a daily shaver but picked it up as the beard was long and couldn't shave for five days due to Dengue fever, loaded with a Gillete365 blade and got a BBS shave in just two passes ie with and across the grain, even better than a barber shop shave slight irritation due to less platelets count but I would strongly recommend chrome colored Spade razor as this is better build in quality and has no blade alignment issue like the gunmetal colored version further this razor is at par or like Edwin Jagger 316 in shave quality and no need to spend thousands of rupees on costly foreign razors 👍👍🙏🙏🙏

I really enjoy the shaving with this razor. I have used different economic blades like Gillette Wilkinson , Gillette 7 O'clock Super Stainles, super max and it always gives me good shave. I do not shave daily but once in a week or two week and shaving is smooth. No cuts ,easy to use. Overall I highly recommend it.Thank you and keep producing the good quality affordable razors :)
