Tea Shop Walks: Walks to the best tea shops and cafes in the Peak District (Peak District: Top 10 Walks)

Have over 50 walk books ranging from books of over 200 walks nationally to small pocket size local walk books. I rate the Northern Eye walk books as some of the best walk books I have. Each book contains 10 walks that have all been interesting, formative, varied and enjoyable. Colour photos show aspects of the walk and the map of the walk is a ordnance survey map not a difficult to understand, inaccurate hand drawing that you find in some walk books. If it rains they are small enough to slip into a pocket to keep dry. I have found the directions easy to follow and up to date. Not like some walk books that say "walk across the moor" only to be confronted with a housing estate because the walk book is out of date.The books are excellent value for money and I had no hesitation in ordering the complete set for my area of the country. Beware though, if you show them to friends. They immediately ask if they can borrow them and I find that I have to reorder as I don't get them back. I have no hesitation in recommending these walk books.

This book is detailed and easy to follow, with very accurate and specific directions, plus excerpts from OS maps so that you don't need to take a map with you as well. The walks that we've done so far have all been stunning for a variety of reasons. My only comment would be to check the cafe opening times if you're relying on Tylenol, as we got caught out by one that had moved to winter opening hours and wasn't open on the day we went to walk - our fault for not checking! Great value, and it fits in your pocket too. What's not to like!

Bought as a Xmas gift for wife who loved it

I have bought this book to assist in the planning for a weekend stay, walking break in the area. It appears to be detailed and informative and I have planned my weekend using the walks set out. Time will tell during my visit how accurate it is. I will probably have to report back after my upcoming weekend adventure.

Small enough to fit neatly in your pocket with some interesting walks of various distances. Looking forward to trying out the walks (& the tea shops of course)
