Third one I've bought. Third killer machine I've built. Way fast delivery, well packaged, but there is no fanfare with the packaging. Its packaged to protect, not to impress. First time I had doubts, masking tape on bubble wrap on a static proof bag, hand written magic marker, inside a manilla envelope. Works like a champ! First one is from last sping 2017. Still cranking now, Dec 2017. Follow the instructions, use the correct amount of good quality heat sink paste, I'm running a Thermaltake $14 fan, so nothing special to keep it cool. In a Intel Desktop Board Media Series LGA 1155 DDR 1333 Micro-ATX Form Factor - BOXDH67BLB3 with TimeTEC Hynix IC 16GB DDR3 and a GTX1060 6GB.

so i bought this to upgrade from the i5 3570 and i prob should have saved the money to upgrade to a ddr4 system but i really love this ivory bridge system bc how low latency is....it was about a 15% increase in performance from this that i gained and i mostly do gaming, you tube you know the norm for a gaming pc aha i have the evga gtx 1060 3gb gpu and its not bottle necked at all with this cpu...they both do very well in titles like battle field 1-5...the i5 would be at 100% at all times, but this i7 sits at about 75-80% cpu usage while gaming in battle field 5....i definitely got more frames for having it....it also got to me super fast.

Product did not come in OEM packaging. I'm hoping the CPU is new and not used. I have the latest Bios for motherboard, so install was straight forward. No issues when the PC was booted up; Bios saw the new CPU and I was able to make some fine adjustments. I upgraded from a i5 to this i7 hoping to see some processing improvements. During install I added new DDR3-2400 (32G) to the MOB and replaced the GPU with a newer faster card. These changes amounted to 1/2 the cost of a comparable spec'd new PC. Original MOB is from ASUS as is the new GPU. All specs were cross matched to insure compatibility with all new pieces to the MOB. PC runs just fine, but I haven't see any notable speed improvements in graphics processing. Was also hoping to get a playback improvement when running YouTube via Google. YouTube still hangs during video playback.

Seller ensured the package got here a day or two early and it works. I can now play my open world games without those small issues and lags. that I had with my i5-3330.

The processor does not work. It fails to boot system - even into BIOS mode and is flagged as a 'memory error'. I will be returning this product.

Ordered the processor late Sunday, than Monday morning about 0830 got a message the product shipped. 2 days later I had the product In hand. Replace the i5 I had and booted the pc right up. Really satisfied woth service and product.

Using home computer also as a PLEX server. With the i3 Ivy Bridge, I could only stream one HD movie a time and could not use the computer. With this i7 Ivy Bridge, W7 machine sees it as an 8 core. I just tested with 4 movies streaming; no buffering and I could still use the computer to write this review. Windows task manager says it's jumping between 20 and 60 percent usage.
