Does exactly what it's supposed to do, provided that you are using a proper charger. Using it both with a Surface Go (original model) and an SP Pro 6 - and no problem with multiple chargers. Definitely a good pickup if you want to be able to charge using USB-C and not eat up the only port (especially on the Surface Go).

I used it with a 45w brick and proper PD cable as required and my voltage tester showed it pulling 15v and 30w with the surface battery around 80%. As expected with a smart chargecontroller device like a laptop the water fell to 9w once the battery was full and only maintaining power was necessary.

In just 4 days of usage, I notice that this cuts out all the time. I have used it with various PD charger and USB-C cables to make sure this was the part at fault. While the other similar charging cables of different brands are working with my charger and laptop, this one sends up my laptop charging status into a blinking frenzy, showing as charging and not-charging every second. I have stopped using it, genuinely worried that it was hurting my battery.

Sadly, these wear out just as quickly as the regular chargers...after about 3-6 months of use. Right where the cord enters the round tube, the connection becomes poor.Great news is, these only cost 10 bucks to replace, versus the entire charger. Buy backups...

Works fine with the required charger and cable. Also found it works with a smaller usbc charger I have that does 20V at 2.25a. Didn't check charging speed, but it was enough to light up and for windows to recognize it's charging.Works as expected. I can use my other usbc charging blocks/cables instead of lugging the surface brick around.

I've tried flipping the charger over and the cords as that's a "thing" with the OEM M$ chargers, but in every position, the cord is 100w and the charger puts out 65 watts and it does charge via the USB-C port on the tablet but this adapter didn't work for the charging port. I really want my USB-C port free for my portable hard drive, so I'm disappointed. Anker has been a brand I've trusted for some time and it got awesome reviews, but I can't tell why it doesn't play well with this adapter, if that's the problem. Might just be a dud unit, but I don't think I'll bother with a replacement.
