Good Connectivity for the Price
When my internet service provider increased the price of renting their wifi router, I wanted to buy my own. That turned out to be quite complicated due to several factors, including the compatibility of the router with the desktop PC provided by my workplace. At first I bought a wifi 6 router, but the VPN on my work computer wouldn't allow a connection, so IT suggested a wifi 5 router. This Linksys wifi 5 router was less expensive with higher megabytes per second, and it works great. The app and setup were straightforward. It was a little difficult to find the 2.4 GHZ network in order to connect my Alexa smart plug, but then I realized that the guest network I created upon setup was 2.4, and that worked out well.

Works great with one caveat..
I pay for 100mbps and I was getting around 90 on my old router on .5ghtz only. 2.4 was giving me hassles even after trying a hard reset, optimizing the channels for my area and trying multiple DNS servers...so it was time to upgrade. This router has mesh capability which I love, although the signal is strong enough in my 2700sq ft house, so I won't be adding a nodule anytime soon. The app has a built-in channel scanner to optimize your signal and it can also test your speed. The app also lists every device connected and gives you the option to prioritize. There are not 3 different networks that show up on your devices, you just connect to your 1 listed network and the router handles the traffic across the different bands automatically.I'm now getting 120mbps download and I have had no issues with gaming and streaming multiple devices. There are always normally around 13 devices connected .I haven't touched it since I installed it a few weeks ago. I highly recommend this router as its future proof to some degree and performs well.Update: I finally got around to reconnecting my smart plugs and lights with Alexa and my Google home hubs. I never had an issue in the past, but I believe the "mixed" wireless signal from this router was causing issues since most smart plugs are 2.4ghz only. I tried separating the bands and trying to set them up using the 2.4ghz band but that didn't seem to help.I ended up turning on "guest mode" in the settings which broadcasts an additional network that seems locked in on 2.4ghz. All my smart devices connected to the guest network with no problems.I still recommend this router; just beware you may have issues setting up smart plugs/lights etc.

Great alternative to "standard" mesh setup
I upgraded our old dual band Asus router to a single linksys tri band (wifi 6) mesh router. I wasn't thrilled with performance at all. I thought I only needed one unit for my house. I was mistaken. So when I saw these on sale for $62.00 refurbished. I jumped on it and bought 2. My thought was it'll be a cheap way to add onto my network and cover the whole house with strong signal. I ended up giving the wifi 6 unit to my parents and use 2 of these in mesh config instead.Even though these are last gen (wifi 5), they work better than the newer wifi 6 unit. When I say better, I mean better in terms of getting full wifi speed at a longer distance.I pay for 600 download speed and 40 upload. I now get at least that in all areas of the house. Again, I realize these are last gen but they work great for what I need. I have probably 40 to 50 devices connected to these. They handle everything just fine. I haven't had one reboot or slowdown in the 3 months I had these. If you don't have the specific needs for the advantage that wifi 6/6e give you, this router is a awesome standalone unit or you can buy a couple and have an awesome mesh network for a lot less money than the units marketed specifically as mesh systems. Especially if you can find these for less than a $100.One thing I should mention. It uses the 1733 Mbps channel, which is the fastest 5ghz channel, as the dedicated backhaul. So if you have a multi gig plan, you'll probably max out at 867 Mbps. You could most likely configure it differently to remedy that. However, I didn't see a need to since my max speeds are less than that.
