This product gets 3 stars because they aren’t the sturdiest and break easily, the packing they came in looked like they were bought at a dollar store. My sons played with them for an hour and pieces were falling apart. Not really worth the price I paid for them but other then that they are decent. Once batteries are put in they change into multiple different colors and make sounds which is cool for the kids.

We bought 3 sets of these for our grandsons for Christmas. As soon as they arrived, I opened the box and there were 3 sets of 2 pieces each. Each set of 2 was in a clear cellophane cover and appeared to be sealed. On Christmas Eve we got them out to wrap them and discovered that 2 of the sets were open at the end. Consequently, one set was completely missing the small connector piece. A second set was also missing the connector piece but we found it in the box they came in. There were no directions as to how to put them together. They are made VERY cheaply and I definitely DO NOT recommend this item!

My boys like these. The colors are bright and the sound affects are pretty cool. But they're pretty cheaply made. They don't come with screws to hold the battery compartment door in place (though there's a hole for a screw), so it falls off constantly and batteries fall out. Rubber band does the trick though. The clear plastic part of one of the sabers snapped in half a week after getting these after a simple drop on the ground (from the height of a 4 year old). And finally, there's no automatic shut off so the noise goes on and on and on, even after a child has long abandoned the saber. Ugh. Cheap, but nevertheless, my boys love them.

These were a gift for my grandson and he loved them buttttt the durability didn't hold up for an active 6 year old who thinks he's a sword fighter

One broke and the lights wouldn’t go out with in 2 days. Put new batteries in and still wouldn’t shut off!

Was a lot of fun to play with, but one of the lightsabers broke within three days of unboxing and the other one looks like it will break soon.

These swords arrive and they were all intact. There were no instructions on how to install the batteries. I went to YouTube and quite frankly that was a mistake. I removed all of the screws to take it apart as I watched a video and that was the wrong thing to do. I busted a bulb and after I had it apart, I figured out how to add the batteries. So the next person won't have any issues, on one side you will see a push button which will turn the sword on an off and change the colors. Rotate it 180 degrees to the opposite side, there is a tab with a hole in just above the silver ring from the bottom. It looks like it houses a screw but it does not, push down tab and lift, you will see the battery compartment.As for the swords they change colors by pushing the button and you can turn the sound on or off. They are made of plastic, so I don't think you want to strike the other sword at full force. I believe these will provide hours of fun. Jw

Oh, the grand son is going to LOVE these for his birthday next month. He has asked for something like this, so we know it's a great choice. He is all about Star Wars and light sabers. I like that this comes with TWO sabers/swords because what fun is one alone? I like that they take AAA batteries because I usually have them in the battery drawer, ready for use. I like that the battery compartment does not have to be screwed shut, but just clicks in place. The plastic on these seems pretty strong and thick. I am hoping this will hold up well. The saber colors are fun and bright and the sounds will certainly be to his liking. Pretty sure this is going to be one of his favorite birthday gifts this year!
