A very good paddle
Observations after four months:I have three other paddles, weighing 7.6, 8.0 and 8.6 ounces. At 7 ounces, this is my lightest and quietest. It's polypropylene core is quieter than my others' aluminum cores (which I like and have no problems with) and the design's graphite face has more texture for control and slicing than the fiberglass faces of my other paddles (which I like and have no problems with). So far, very durable. I've seen other graphite paddles break.I think the teardrop shape forces me, psychologically, at least, to concentrate my hits at the head of the paddle. My red on black logo is less garish. I don't know if that's an old or new design. I prefer a simple designI've seen no loss of speed and power with slams. I have more accuracy with power shots and increased touch in no-volley-zone play - even more than my next lightest paddle. I'm sure part of this is getting used to the paddle. I've played for 1.5 years.I hesitated to spend $100, but playing 3-4 times a week makes this worth it. My game is better, and I'm keeping the body in shape.

Good paddle for my level of play.
I like the handle. I don't like a short handle. This one is long enough, though I'd like it to be 1/2 inch longer, but all in all it allows me to get a good purchase on the paddle. Paddle provides a good response/feel. I use it as my main paddle. I've been playing for 5 months. I used an over wrap and it provided more girth to the handle. The original wrap is good, nothing wrong with it.

Grip Detail
This is an awesome performing paddle. Good sweet spot and excellent feel off the paddle face. My only "complaint" is the length of the handle ... it could be 1/2 to 3/4 inches longer. The grip nub at the base hits the the low pad of the hand and can cause irritation and/or blister. I found this grip length to be common among most paddles. The paddles with longer grips are more comfortable and offer more control. Truly a minor point, but for me, my palm shows some irritation after a few games.

Light, good grip, and decent spin
Got this to battle at the net. I can easily whip this paddle for fast play. Feels like I get enough power deep and on the serve while getting cut shots and top spin when needed. After a few month, the paddle surface seems to have a few worn/smooth spots but it’s probably normal wear.

MY PADDLE FROM THE START
I am in year 3 of pickle ball play and my Voyager continues to impact my game in new and exciting ways. After I had been playing for 2 months, an experienced player took me to a pro shop that had an indoor court. I was allowed to try a number of top paddles, and after several hours of using different paddles, I kept coming back to the Voyager. It felt comfortable and made shots feel natural. During the coming weeks, I became increasingly confident as shot selection and execution improved. I discovered the power I could generate for baseline returns and surprising touch at the kitchen, After my first year, I got an Engage MX 6.0 as a way to diversify my game. It turned out to be a step down and a disappointment. I am on my 2nd voyager pro and thinking of adding the Voyager Evoke since it has similar specs with some advanced technology, In 3 years, I have not come across any other players using voyager paddles. Seems like every one follows the pack and buys what the high profile pros endorse. Meanwhile, Onix continues to build on the Voyager formula and the paddle keeps performing at a high level for guys like me that spend every waking moment on the court looking for somebody to stay and ply.

Poor quality and similar customer service
I have the Onix Signature paddle which is great but wearing out. Onix doesn't make it any more and sugfeted the Evoke. This Evoke paddle did not meet my expectations at all. First of all, it looked like a second. There are noticeable flaws or inconsistency's the face of the paddle. It is way too light, for even the smallest player who used it. And, there is no pop whatsuever from the graphite surface. Nobody in our club liked it or would buy it. Sorry, but I cannot give highter than a rating of 1.Note: I've been an Onix fan but no longer. The company was purchased by a multi product sports company and customer service is nothing like before. Would not even put a new edge guard on my Signature paddle.

Best compared to other higher priced brands.
Absolutely the best paddle I have used. I have used Selkirk paddles, Head and Gamma and several others I can’t recall the name. The spin on the ball is phenomenal. The tacky surface is far better than other brands I have played with. The power and touch shots are far better than the Selkirk. The sound of the sweet spot is melodious! Serious. It has the best “pop” on the court and you know you hit the sweet spot, unequivocally. The only caveat to this paddle, is the surface size does require getting used to. However, with a few rounds of practice, the adjustments were way to make with this paddle.I have videos of the spin, power and touch.Despite the shape, and the uniqueness that this requires for adjusting to a standard paddle shape, it is the best I have tried. If you can demo it, I would recommend that. This paddle may not be the best choice for everyone, obviously, but great paddle. Especially for the price compared to the best Selkirk. Also, for ex-tennis/current tennis player, this paddle had the best feel for me and simulated the tennis style of swing, and ball control.

Awesome for table tennis player, didn't last very long for me
It produces much more power with the elongated shape without extra weight. The sweet spot is further away so it may take some time to adjust. The 4-in handle is the best part as it helps me to transition from table tennis. It allows me to use my wrist freely without running into the commonly 5-in handle. Extra degree of motion helps me do spin better.Note: I currently play at 3.5ish level, I can see it taking to me to 4.0 and beyond.* Unfortunately, the handle snapped in 7months. I believe that the warranty is only 90 days TT* I wouldn't mind if they come up with a thicker core version to give it more power and stronger handle that lasts longer
