Good product but be prepared for possible return
Once you get one you'll never go back. Mine worked great for 5 weeks then started to sag 1/2 inch or so, essentially turning into a dropper/suspension seatpost. The KS Lev is "infinitely adjustable," you hold down the lever/button thingy on your handlebar and press down with your weight to drop it. Let go of the button and it stays where you pushed it to. When ready to hammer or climb again press the button and it pops back up.Sometimes it doesn't pop all the way up... but it usually does.I have ridden these very hard - over 75 mi a week.I sent it back after a few months for warranty repair, a minor hassle. KS didn't get back to me stating they ever received it. Hoping for the best, I received an email 2 weeks later that I had a package being shipped to me from KS. It came back wrapped in paper with "cartridge replaced" written on it.I bought a 2nd one to use while this one was being repaired.Honestly, when working right it is awesome giving me confidence to tackle steep terrain and increase my speed on downhills. I have multiple bikes so having 2 saves me a hassle. But for younger riders on a budget the price is high for one, let alone TWO.UPDATE: 4/21/15- the original repaired one has been installed on a racing hardtail and so far so good. I was told by other riders with KS Lev experience to make sure to NEVER let water NEAR the seals when washing the bike. Keeping fingers crossed. I originally gave this item FIVE stars but dropped it to FOUR due to the hassle of returning it and the fact it only lasted 6 weeks before it had issues.UPDATE 2: 6/21/2015: After the post was returned in March I installed in on my racing hardtail. I raced and rode throughout April, May and half of June. On 6/17/15 while mountain biking I heard a "pop" and the post wasn't working. Stopping my bike I discovered oil leaking all over from the unit and down the seat tube and all over the bottom bracket area. So... this one's going back again. And, I am forced to reduce my review to THREE stars since it only lasted 2 and a half months before blowing up. Luckily I wasn't MILES from anywhere when it happened.

Best performance/value dropper post
All in all, probably the most reliable and highest performing dropper post I've used. There are some annoying issues, but I would still buy it again.Pros:-Super fast action-stationary cable insertion site, which can be rotated-Multiple remote trigger options (I use Southpaw)-Low maintenance trigger system (compared to reverb's nightmarish hydraulic setup)Cons:-Filling with pressure requires removing saddle-Stock remote is clunky-Getting cable length right is tedious. There should be an additional in-line housing length adjustment. The manual actually showed one, but it was not included.

Works well but seat clamp cracked after 6 months
Overall happy with the product. I am not sure if infinite range of motion is better than one with steps. It's a bit difficult to get the post to drop to consistent levels while riding. One that has preset levels might be better from that perspective. My only complaint is that the seat clamp cracked, has not broken off complete but it has cracks on both sides. I am only 170lbs and not the most aggressive rider, expected stronger construction.

The KS 2014 LEV is really a near perfect design. From installation to usage the system enables the installer to place the cable anywhere around its base so that it where you want it and out of the way. The dropper control can mount on the handle bar either as a replacement for the grip clamp or as in my case just in-board of the brake/shifter clamp for the XTR setup. I now have about 20 rides on the post without issue. I probably use it as much as shifting gears; it is now an essential part of my ride. Think of it this way; remember your first ride on Disk Brakes? Would you go back to V Brakes? This device is a game changer. I did lots of research before buying the 2014 LEV and I am very happy with it. The only thing that you should do during installation is add Loctite blue to the saddle clamp bolts, they will come loose without it.

great product with horrible customer service
I have had the KS lev 30.9 with 125mm travel for just over one year now. Previously, I owned command post, Gravity dropper and rockshox reverb and kronolog. I will start by saying LEV does have a very smooth feel when it works and probably is the lightest of the hydrolic group. The remote lever was easy to set up and activate plus it's rock solid. I did however end up sending the unit back to KS for warranty work after two months of use. Now, again, the post will raise when the seat is pulled on. Another major issue is the seat clamp. The spherical bolts and nuts that hold the seat clamp will come loose even when torqued above specs resulting in lost bolts. They are aware of the issue but have no resolution - which results in lost bolts. Bolts are backordered with no eta. I gave "them" a two star because KS has horrible customer service. They have no representatives to even answer phones. Only voicemail and no one will respond. Parts are almost impossible to find and after calling two LBS I came to learn they are the hardest to deal with.

Worst dropper post on the market
I did not buy this dropper post, it came with my bike. It was so bad that I felt compelled to come to Amazon and write a review to warn everyone about it. After 5 rides, it stopped going back up when pressing the button. I have to turn the whole bike upside down so the oils lube the post and it will gradually work again. I would never buy anything from KS Lev. The higher end models of my bike come with the fox transfer post. I was a fool to not just pay up for that.
