Sturdy drawing boards for art class
These are sturdy support for drawing paper. We sealed one side to protect them from paint and tape when using watercolors on our easels.

Good medium thick boards.
I put them on a rack shelf for surface cover. Work okay.

Perfect for Artists
I use these for my art, I tape my paper down to these boards and I can take my art anywhere. It's easy to store in progress paintings, and these boards have held up well. The corners do break away a bit but its pressed board and for what I use it for, it's not a huge deal.

Very sturdy - great for paint - not so good for laser engraving or cutting
These boards are nicely priced and very sturdy for the thickness. They appear to be pretty co2 laser resistant. takes 4-6 passes to cut with a 40watt c02 laser. For laser engraving there is not a lot of contrast between the engraved areas and the untouched surfaces.I would recommend these as a substrate for paintings, but not for laser engraving or cutting.

Buy! Perfect and good price.
I did not add a campitura/ground color but painted directly on the board as I was using acrylic gouache (code for acrylic paint that is matte). I loved the result on this board and would highly recommend as the price is great (even if you want or need to gesso first).

Warped when used with stretched watercolor paper
They warp pretty easily. I bought them as backing boards for stretching watercolor paper, and even gessoed them first, on both sides, and they still warped. Your mileage may vary.

Good quality product
I’m planning on using these masonite boards for acrylic painting. I have been working on canvas but decided to give this a try. It looks like a good quality product and storage of my paintings will be much easier than with canvases. Can’t wait to get started!
