Coming apart at the seam
Bought 3 of these for our east and west windows. Love the look, ease of installation, and lowered temps during the hot morning and afternoon sun exposure. What I don't like is the seam coming apart just 1 month (33 days) after I got it. :( Bummer.... Amazon was helpful in getting this item replaced, however. I am just praying that the other 2 do not come apart at the seam as well. It appears that the material is either heat sealed OR glued. Not sure which at this point.2019 Oct 1- review update: We bought another unit- 8'x6' for the kitchen window. They are wonderful for cutting the heat and direct sunlight that harms furniture.One concern that I have: one of the original 3 we purchased (8'x8') is making a noise when we lower/ raise it. While I am not a mechanic by any means, the noise sounds like it is coming from the 'gears' in the roller.At this time, I am not seeing any other seam issues ~ and we use these shades DAILY!

I bought 3 of these for the house I'm building - OK, the contractors are actually building it. They installed them easily on the stucco, but you don't need a contractor to do it. I had no side walls to fix the bungee cords to, so I bought marine grade flush pull rings (On Amazon: Baldwin Hardware 0395.150 Flush Pull Ring) and had them installed on the stone tile, so I would have something to clip them to. We haven't moved in yet, but Ive tried them out and it looks like it will work - quality is fine. I paid $193 each for them with Prime, but I see them listed now for $285 - quite a price jump... They were shipped in huge tubes that had been opened - I guess there could have been an RPG Grenade Launcher inside - but the product was not damaged. I'll check back in a few months to let you know how they're holding up.Update 8/7/16 - still working well. I use them almost every day. It gets windy here and they haven't torn or come loose from the spool. Still haven't worked out the best way to hook them to the pull rings

Very Nice
These shades are wonderful. Although they only filter 72% of the sun they cool our patios down 15 - 20 degrees. The crank mechanism operates very smoothly both up and down. The hardest part was installing the hang brackets level. Once the brackets are in place the blinds snap firmly in place. Anything larger than a 6 ft wide blind can really use two people to snap them into the brackets. We purchased five 8 ft. blinds and one 6 ft blind and they were all perfect. I would definitely recommend these blinds.

Blocks the glare of the setting sun very well
Like it so far after having it up a week and using it twice. Installation was fairly easy but is better if you have two people. I'm disappointed in the shipment however because the metal portion that houses the screen had a large dent right in the middle. I put the screen up before noticing the dent. It still works well, but for what I paid for this, I'd like for it to look new and not beat up. It's too much of a hassle to return because I threw the box away before I saw the problem. I'll change my review to 5 stars if I can get the seller to send me a replacement.

A VERY SATISFIED CUSTOMER!!
I purchased this solar shade in May of 2015. My patio has full sun from 1pm until the sun sets. It is so hot that I couldn't sit outside so I searchedMy patio has full sun from 1pm until the sun sets. It's gets so hot that I couldn't sit outside so I searched and searched and finally found this Keystone 8' x 10' Titanium Plus Solar Shade. It literally keeps my patio 20 degrees cooler. I love it. The shade comes with a bungee tie down attachment with hooks that I attached to the underside of my patio floor to keep it from moving on a breezy day. That little extra kit was a great item because now the shade stays in place without blowing all over if it's breezy. It comes with a removable crank that is so easy to use and the shade opens and closes with ease. When I went to attach the bungee cord to the hook this year I found that one of the hooks had broken. I found Keystone's phone number and a live person answered the phone as opposed to the recording where you have to press a bunch of numbers to get a person. Lisa answered the phone and was able to help me. She was so nice and helpful. Of course I never registered the item but she gladly found what I needed and is sending out the part tomorrow morning. She was a pleasure to talk to and what a nice company to deal with. If you are looking for a shade I highly suggest you find something from this company. Their customer service (Lisa) was exceptional.

I own 2 8' shades and this recently ordered 6 ...
I own 2 8' shades and this recently ordered 6 foot. This smaller one differs in materials. The hook catches the screen causing some treads to separate at the edge of the screen. I had to snipe the treads to keep them from catching the hook on the crank. The spooling wheel is made of plastic, the others were metal.The rolling mechanism is not as smooth as the 8' shades. IF not for these concerns I would rate it -'love it'
