Leaky Bite Valve & Fit Issues *updated*
I REALLY wanted to love this product, but it fell short in several important areas.THE GOOD:The pack is nice and feels like it could take a beating, and the zippers are good quality. The pockets are big enough to hold a pocket first-aid kit, snacks and a few more miscellaneous items, making it perfect for day hikes & day trips. The insulated pocket keeps your back from warming up the hydration bladder, and the insulated hose is nice. On top of that, it's a nice looking little bag. I got the "Jungle Green" bag, which is actually dark grey, but I selected the color by picture rather than by description. I love the stormy-grey color with the black. The bladder was easy to fill, insert into the pack and clean. There was no noticeable "taste" on first use, although I did give it a good clean before using it for the first time. The hook on the strap means the hose is well secured and won't bounce loose while hiking or climbing. I've read reviews about a "sloshing" problem with the bladder, but that's an easy fix. Once it's filled, turn it upside-down so the air is by the hose output, suck the air out of the valve until you get water, and THEN place it in your pack. With no air to mix with the water, there's no sloshing sound (this should be standard practice with all hydration bladders.)THE BAD:*edit* Originally I posted a review about there being no height adjustment for the chest straps, which was a huge problem given my frame. As it turns out, what I thought were fixed connection points for the chest straps WERE actually adjustable. Mine were just horribly jammed and it took someone with stronger fingers and more patience than me to adjust the height of the chest strap. Once that was solved, the pack fit much better, and the chest strap was in a more comfortable/usable position. Although very aggravating to adjust, the chest strap height is no longer a problem, and the pack fits well! The waist strap is still fixed, but there's only so much you can expect at this price-point *end edit*I tested the bladder before my first hike and was pleased that there were no leaks. The problems didn't come until I was on the trail. The bite valve has a horrendous leak. When capped and pushed in, everything is fine. But once you pull out the valve, it leaks terribly, and I felt like I was drooling with every sip. I checked to make sure it was firmly inserted to the hose, and it was, and the water output itself was sealed unless I bit or squeezed it. The leak came from between the valve and the hyperboloid-shaped bit of plastic in front of the attachment point, and there's no way to fix that. It's just going to keep leaking, making drinking awkward as hell until I find a new bite valve.Update:I did end up getting a new bite-valve, and now that my fit issues and the bite valve problems are solved, this is a really solid pack. I've used it on multiple day-hikes, a few road trips, an outdoor concert, a couple of day trips and once when I had the flu and didn't want to get out of bed to keep hydrated. It's still intact, functions great and can take a beating. I've updated to four stars, but only because I had to replace the bite-valve immediately after buying it. Had it come with a functioning bite valve, this would have easily been a 5 star review.

Good Camel back
I used this camel back recently while i was climbing Machu Pichhu and other mountains in Peru. It holds plenty of water, its lightweight and it has enough space for keys, bulky phone, wipes, light shirt, papers etc. The best thing about this product is that you can clean it properly because the bladder's mouth is wide enough to reach out inside. The water pipe has a cover which I like too. You can throw some ice in it as well so the water stays cold for long. My water was reasonably cold after 6 hours of hike and climb. I am not sure about the durability though therefore, the 4 star. Its a new product and it hasn't given up on me yet. It doesn't leak so far. I may update the review again if there is any issues with it. I totally recommend it.

Good backpack
I purchased this for what turned out to be an 8 hour hike in 100 degree weather. I liked that the bladder held a lot of water and the mouth piece was easy to drink from. The insulated hose didn’t keep the water from getting hot though so I had to drink hot water until the cooler bladder water came up. I had added ice to the bladder in the morning so it was decently cool but not cold by any means later in the day. Next time I’ll add a lot more Ice and see if that helps. The backpack was rather comfortable to wear though so that’s a plus. Once I’d placed the bladder in the backpack it made it difficult to fill the other compartments so I wish it had been designed so that the other areas were more usable with the bladder full and in place. I was still able to fit a bottle of sunscreen, a hat, small wash cloth size towel, extra tape for blister prevention, sandwich bags of beef Jerkey, trail mix and banana chips, my small wallet and phone so it worked out alright.

Zipper Issues/Water Spout Difficulty
Bought this for my boyfriend and he loves it. Perfect for the price and has so much room for such a compact bag. A lot of compartments to organize your items, and of course holds more water than your average 2L water back. I will say- the only two things I did NOT like was the zipper material was sort of falling apart.. if you look at previous reviews you’ll see what I mean. For some reason I can’t attach a photo myself. If a string comes undone on a zipper the material of it may unravel a bit.. But yes it does exactly what the zipper photos posted shows.. I knew this before buying, just hoped it wouldn’t happen to mine. But it did. Not too big of a deal but it happens. Also, for some reason the water spout doesn’t have a nice flow of water, (compared to my other water back) it’s sort of difficult sucking the water out. You have to work hard to get that water flowing for just a few sips. Sort of annoying. Overall, great price for the buy I still recommend.

Compact backpack for traveling light
Wanted a small backpack for vacations where I do not need much. This backpack is perfect. Small enough to carry the essentials like iPad, headphones, GoPro (charger, batteries, memory card, diving case, and grip), battery pack, chargers and a few cables, and sunglasses. This bag is perfect for it. Still have room for sun block, and a bottle of water. It does come with a hydration bag. I don’t plan on using it but it feels nice and durable with a thick rubber layer.Going to the beach? This is the perfect bag. You can fill it with water and have 2L of water on your back and still have room for a bottle of sunblock, hold your keys, wallet, phone, and small portable speaker.

Very nice
Very well made. Compact but still has enough storage for a small jacket/keys/phone snacks. Water packs work very well too. Over all i dont think i could have bought a better bag. Use this for pretty intense and long range mountain biking and it works awesome

Great hydration pack and day pack
Took this out on a 4 day camping trip, and it was great. I was using it at my only source of water, and as my day pack. Even when full of water (a hefty 2.5 litres of it) it still has enough room for the essential survival gear that I'd want to take with me, and a tiny bit of food too. The bladder seems sturdy, and can be strapped to the top of the bag to prevent it from slipping. The insulation seems to have done its job well, as the water from the bladder was consistently cooler than the water in the tube, and the water in the insulated part of the tube was cooler than the uninsulated part. Note that I cut the tube for mine to add in a filter attachment. Normally the entire tube is insulated. The bit piece works well, as does the cover, although I'm worried that the cover will break off in time. If it does I'll update this review. Refilling the bladder isn't terribly easy as you'd have to hold a filter up to it. Some filters can connect directly to it, but most won't. I was able to work around this by filling it via the tube, but for that you'd need a filter set up like I have.

Great purchase!
I am extremely happy with my new backpack! It is the perfect size for a day hike and has lots of space to pack a light jacket, snacks, etc. The only thing I wish it had was a different spigot on it instead of the suction one as I need to carry a separate water bottle for my dog. Other than that it is nice and light weight and the water bladder hold lots of water and doesn’t taste like plastic.

Great bag and bladder
So far no leaks, squeezed it full and not a drop. Straw is covered in neoprene and actually clips to the shoulder. Straw has a cap, and a push in/pull out valve as well as bite. So leaks on the straw side should be minimal.Bag has ample room for other things, key clips etc. WELL worth the extra $15-$30 more over the cheaper one.no plastic taste right out of the box.
