VELJIE Women's Vintage Scoop Neck Casual Party Flare Dress

I ordered this because I needed a modest black dress specifically for a military funeral but also just to add a new LBD to my wardrobe. The material was very surprisingly stretchy. It’s not cotton or knit at all. The fit was perfect and I will get so much use out of this dress. The price was extremely affordable for a dress that I’m sure I’ll be able to wear for a few years!

This dress runs true to size and is a nice, thick fabric. (It's that great fabric that is stretchy without looking cheap and doesn't take on too much pet hair, if that means anything!) I'm 5'2" and 145lbs - I ordered an 8 to be safe and it was a little big on me, but I'm petite so I expected that. I probably could have ordered a 6 and been fine.

If you are on the fence about what size to purchase, I can say that the material is super stretchy but oh so high quality looking. It's amazing how this can look like such a solid fabric and yet be so stretchy. I usually will order a 6 if i know there is "true" stretch. I ordered an 8 to be safe because I could not imagine this kind of material stretching to the degree that it does. Any whoo... Because the material is what it is, the 8 looks great but the others I will order of this dress will be size 6s.

Great dress! Purchased it for a funeral and it's modest but still flattering. Fit was as expected but make sure to follow the number size (10, 12, etc.) not the letter (S, M, L), since a size 12 is a XXL, which isn't the case for most American clothing brands. Seems to be good quality despite the low cost. Would recommend.

I'm generally a size ten. I used their size chart and the size ten also fit my chest measurement. So I ordered the XL- per the size chart.It's a little loose in the waist and the neckline gapes open in the front and back. I should have ordered down.The fabric is thicker and a bit more stiff than I anticipated. It's also very creased and wrinkled and I'd need to iron the pleats back into place. It still looks nice but isn't very flowy.I'm going to return this one but would consider ordering a smaller size, but it's just not right for the event I was thinking of wearing it to.

I love the fit of this dress! I have extra weight in the love handle area I don't want to be displayed, but I wanted a fitted dress, this one is perfect and hugs me at the waist and then flairs out beautifully! I got a size small and am 5'5" and 124lbs, chest 32B.It hits just below the knee and has a cap sleeve. it works for women in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

For the most part, I love the material of this dress. It is stretchy and thick. I read the previous reviews and ordered a smaller size and it fits! I bought the dress with the cap sleeves. Unfortunately, there isn’t enough cap to the sleeve for the style I want. I like that the fabric is a bit stiff and doesn’t fall against every inch of me so it masks the fact the I was cursed with a flat butt. I am larger in the chest and surprisingly it fits just fine without any strain to the seams. The only other problem that I have with the dress is that because the dress material doesn’t lay flat against me, it poofs out at the neck line. It’s annoying because when I look down the stiff fabric rubs against my chin. Yes, it poofs out that much. It appears to be very durable and great quality though.

I really liked the look of this dress overall; unfortunately, the quality of the dying and stiching were so poor I returned it. This was purchased for my daughter to wear for Halloween, in case the one she ordered didn’t arrive on time for her school dress up day, in the end the other item arrived on time, but I actually liked it enough to keep it. However, the dye was a bit blotchy and the sewing looked like temporary stiching, nothing that would last even one washing. If it’s a one time use item, this is perfect, but for normal wear I wouldn’t recommend this.
