Worked a charm on my German Shepherd, who is currently blowing her undercoat!
This brush works INCREDIBLY well on my currently raggedy German Shepherd! She has been blowing her undercoat, and looks an absolute hot mess, with large tufts of fur loosening up and showing all over her body (worst around her back legs, booty, and neck ruff area). She also, for whatever reason, is a total weirdo about me doing anything to try to help her through this process. If you grab a tuft, she'll growl and also run away, as though it hurts her. or like you're stealing her most precious resources!I KNOW that just pulling out the tufts by hand can't actually hurt her. They're sticking out farther than the rest of her coat because they've already been shed, and just have difficulty falling completely away because they get tangled up with the rest of her coat.I've purchased the much more expensive Furminator brush in the past, which she HATED. There has been a bit of a revolving line of various brush types that have been tried and ultimately failed in our household. Saddle brushes, curry brushes, self-cleaning brushes, undercoat rakes, etc. etc. They have been either ineffective, or just difficult to use, because she seems to hate the feel of them and tries to struggle away. This brush was so cheaply priced that I was willing to at least give it a shot. When I first opened up the packaging, my other dog happened to be closest to me so I swiped down his back just for giggles. I was AMAZED at how much hair came off on that one swipe! He also has an undercoat, but his hair overall is much shorter, so it's not nearly as obvious when he is blowing it. This was a great unexpected bonus, because some of the heavy duty brushes designed for undercoat grooming seem to be uncomfortable for him - the metal is sharp and he doesn't have a big poufy coat to cushion it at all.Anyway, back to the German Shepherd. I brushed her down for maybe 10-15 minutes, focusing harder on the areas where she had the most obvious shedding. No exaggeration - I filled a Walmart bag with floof in short order! She tolerated the brushing, and only growled/groaned a couple of times when I worked on some tangled areas. This was the most painless de-shedding session that we have ever done with her, and definitely also the easiest and most effective as well!Given a few more days of 10-15 minute sessions, I think she'll be pretty much good to go! Apologies for the grody picture but I wanted y'all to see that, no exaggeration, I really did fill an entire shopping bag in just a few short minutes of brushing her out!

Good quality
Great price, and I prefer this over the rake style undercoat combs. This just seems to be gentler on my husky's fur. It didn't scratch up the guard hairs or damage them. And she seemed to like it better, or it wasn't as painful.I lost my previous rake, and this one is different in that the teeth on the inside are closer together/shorter, and on the outside the teeth are further apart and longer. This also seemed to detangle her long hair on the back of her legs better.

Best for long thick cat fur!!
I have two ragdolls, both I’ve had for the past six years. In that time, I have tried many types of combs, brushes, detangler, D matters and some work better than others, but they are all a struggle. This one came today, and it was like a hot knife through butter for both of their coats! Very smooth and no tugging on their sensitive skin.I didn’t get nearly as many complaints out of my cat that hates to get brushed. For my cat that enjoys brushing, she came to me twice more today, while presenting every part of her body to be raked. This tool is an absolute winner, I wish I had found this one years ago, highly recommended if you have animals with long thick fur, double coats, or undercoats!

GREAT brush for my cats.
My cat loves being brushed with this. She goes to the drawer where I keep it and paws at the drawer until I brush her with it. It is effective in removing undercoat. With consistent, continued use, it should help with keeping shedding at bay.

Awsome
I've been using this on a horse with Cushing's and it has been a lifesaver. Using a regular brush doesn't pull the loose hair out like this does. This gets down and lifts the hair out in clumps. This saves so much time and energy.

Undercoat Brush
I was skeptical with all those high reviews but it works well on my Rottweiler.
