I was about to dispose of my old laptop until I stumbled across this little rascal.For the price, I took the plunge and I was very impressed with how quick and easy it was to bring my old laptop back to life.I haven’t used it on any other electronic devices yet, but I’m sure it will be just the ticket to get me connected to WIFI. It receives a strong signal and hangs onto it for the long haul.Technology has truly come a long way.I’m pleased with this purchase and I’m sure you will be also if you need to go wireless with a non-wireless device, especially for the price. All you need is a USB port.I definitely recommend this little rascal!

Your Dual Band USB wifi adapter worked perfectly. I was worried that I might not have the software to support it but it looked like software was on the adapter and then installed on my old win 7 system with my approvals.seems to work fine. I get between 20 to 60 Mbps on 5g router limited by my windows CPU I guess as my old wifi was even slower. My cell phone on same network does about 112 Mbps but it is a more contemporary processor in it. on non 5g connection it gets between 20 and 30 Mbps.Thanks for fixing my laptop. I guess my old built-in wifi HW just died on its own and had started giving me windows blue screen of death. I was able to disable that old internal wifi HW and use your adapter to get wifi connection going again and get my old system running again.Thanks Again!

This device was very easy to set up and use. It has excellent reception and it a huge improvement over the laptop's built-in antenna. However, it seems to "lose touch" with the laptop after an overnight cycle when the laptop was in sleep mode. Rebooting solves it and I think it may be as easily solved by choosing WiFi2 from the choices in the control panel, but I haven't had a chance to try that. This is a good solution if your computer has an older antenna that does not pick up well.

Update: I was contacted by seller. We tried to figure out why I was having a problem. Could not identify the problem. Could be that I got a defective device. I wad refunded my money.Customer service wad very adequate!First, I purchased this item after being asked to give it a review by the Aigital, the Amazon seller.Operating system; Windowstested on a 3 year old computer and a one month old computer.There are NO instructions or guidance. I plugged it in, opened the file folder and selected the Install. It took seconds to complete.I viewed my available wifi options with the device inserted and not inserted into the computer and I did not see any additional options to choose.I viewed the wifi setting and saw that there was a second "wifi 2" from Realtek.I then viewed my network connection and the Wi-Fi 2 from Realtek was not "connected". I would assume that it would automatically connect or show an option to allow it to connect.I ran internet speed tests on both computers. Two tests, one test with the device and a test without.I ran the test 3 times for each instance. My average; (up 5 /down 18 mbps) speeds were exactly the same.In my opinion, the advertising or discription of the item makes it sound like it is very simple and easy to use. But if someone is not computer savvy, then it is not that simple.

I ORDERED 2, ONE IN MY PC THE OTHER IN MY ROUTER USB PORT. WOW WHAT A DIFFERENCE ESPECIALLY WHEN WATCHING MY MOVIES AND TV SHOWS ON MY FIRESTICK. THE SPEED IS INCREDIBLE AND PRETTY MUCH NO BUFFERING. I RECOMMEND THIS ITEM. I PUT IT IN MY PC FIRST ENTERED MY ROUTER NUMBER THEN PUT IT IN THE USB PORT OF MY ROUTER. QUICK AND EASY. ENJOY THE NEW LIFE IT GIVES YOUR VIEWING. The product comes with no instructions, just a little device in a plastic package with specs. We figured it out and plugged it into our old PC and our connection was 2.4 Mbps. We tried a front USB port, closer to the wi-fi signal and got 3.4 Mbps. In other words, it didn't work. It may be our old PC though, so I won't go 1 star.

You must get a separate component in order to use your desktop computer in wifi. This USB wifi adapter is smaller and faster than the large antenna it replaces. Very convenient, normal connection, compact, highly recommended!
