The top is great quality. It is tricky to get a good spin off due to the fact it is so low but when you do, it goes and goes. It does best on a flat glass table but with some practice and patience I get a good spin on my 125mm concave glass. I get 8min to 9min spin times but got 10m 22s on my best. It would be a 5 star but I think the price is a little high. I bought mine for 59.99 and I just saw they want 69.99 which is too high.

Absolutely beautiful, but the stem is not solid to the base, it is screwed in. This threading causes imbalance, so you are left with a beautiful piece that doesn't spin long and has a slight wobble. I have a $10 top better balanced than this that spins longer. If I had known I would not have purchased this. If they had focused on a slightly less elaborate stem and had made it as a solid piece, it would be perfect. Best time is 8:15 so far on glass spinning base.Update:. This top has grown on me. The intricate stem causes an optical illusion of 2 floating wires inside while it spins. New best time 9:30, I just really wish it was better balanced. It does not give the illusion of stillness while spinning, the stem has a constant wobble. The removable stem does make it pocketable though.
