900 Watt LED Veg Flower Grow Light

I first had a major issue with shipping but the seller was very good in providing the necessary information to solve my issue. The light itself is phenomenal. It is a growing beast. I removed 1 out of 2 MH bulbs from my clone/veg room and supplemented with the 900W g8led along with one MH bulb as a first step of my transition to full leds. Power consumption down, growth up. A bit slower but I got a rich deep green color on my plants along with what appears to be more growth. Step 2 - try for flowering...this was the big leap of faith. I used my second 900W light along with 1000W HPS in half my flower room and kept the rest the same to be switched out later. I should mention that I am an old school soil grower. It's more work but I enjoy it more. avg 4.8oz per plant x 12 plants = 3.6lbs . Not bad for first run, but there is a learning curve i am looking forward to bigger yields. Step 3 - add 1 more 900w in flower room and remove a 1000w HPS to reduce power consumption even more. Looking very good - harvest coming up. Love the lower temps.

Ordered a pair of these 900w lights one failed in less than 90 days . G8 replaced it at no cost but it took some time and loss of production.Yield is half of what it was under T-5's . Energy savings of a $100 . This purchase was not a step forward.Update : G8 has been great working with us to resolve our issues both on the phone and via e-mail and good progress is now being made .It has been nearly a year since we've put Dorm Grow LED's into our roomsand the results are very positive.We have achieved the goals we had when we purchased these lights . Usingthese lights for a year has shown not only do they perform as advertised but they can take some abuse to. A majorshort in-between the timer and lights caused that connection to melt, eventually a loss of power to the lights .Repairs were made to the wiring and as We turned on eachof the 5 450 w Dorm Grow LED's they came to life showing no ill effects .We did have an issue one of the 2 900w LED's . Which Dorm Grow coveredafter receiving the light . Luckily we had the T-5's as a back up because it did take about a month to sort out , we got by but it did set usback some .Electrical usage is ,an ebb and flow system with one 1750 air pump for o2 ,three fans , 2 900 w Dorm Grow LED's , 4 90w Reds , 5 450 w Dorm Grow LED's for $300 a month .Yield has increased from 3-4 to 5-6/plant , bud density has improved andthey are frostier than ever .Dorm Grow Customer Support was great helping us along the way both on thephone and by email .These lights were a good investment, one that we'll able to use to improve our qualityand quantity in the future .Walter

I have been growing with g8leds for two years and absolutely love their products and their service. anytime i have had an issue, regardless of how small they have been on top of it. I recently set up a second tent just for this light so I can utilize the 900 for flowering in a 6'x6'. I had to add two 90w ufos, wish they could make this part of the 900 light so I don't have so many power cords and wires to deal with but it does allow me to spread the light more. Wow is it bright in there, I mean really bright. I got my assembly line with the 3'x5' area starting with clones and going all the way thru and taking some of the early growers to the scrog 6'x6' tent with the g8led 900. This allows me to diversify my crop into smaller, quick yields and also larger, long yields so i am harvesting frequently. My production is up this way and my space is maximized. The 900w was a perfect addition to my assembly line setup.

Platinum LED is a better product.

My 450 from g8led did an amazing job with my indoor grow some got the 900 for a larger grow area. It is just a bigger version of the 450, twice as big in fact but the price is less than twice so it is actually a better buy. I love these lights and my green girls love them too ;). They do give off some heat, it is not zero heat but it is still fairly easy to keep my room temp between 74 - 77. I wish it was an all encompassing light, but I did have to order the 90red booster for budding but I suppose more light will be beneficial when budding. Great buy.

Hate to give it only a one-star rating lights have worked pretty well for the past two years or so but now I have 34 diodes that are either completely black or partially melted needless to say it not so happy I also have a 600w. And to 175 watt Reds that have about 1/3 melted or burnt out diodes a piece also this is the first time I've ever left a review on Amazon.

i recieved the lights...they were a lil on the heavy side....i like the brightness they have..just got them set up and ready to use..had to order the glasses..I think i am going to be one happy customer...to be continued....

I am an old school indoor grower ith 20 years of growing experience that's always used the tried and true HID setups, so needless to say when I began shopping for upgraded technology to manage costs and increase efficiency I was extremely cautious about LEDs. I did my due diligence and did my homework on the different light companies. I found that in countless reviews and with numerous awards, G8 was a name I saw repeatedly. I felt it safe to go with the G8 450 and G8 900 along with 2 of the G8 flower boosters to accompany the 900 for my new grow....my review??Ha ha, after only 6 weeks of having these lights in play I am quite literally BLOWN AWAY by the results. I am averaging almost 4" of growth a day with Co2 enrichment. The intensity of these lights and their PAR values are impressive to say the least. Heat gain is minimal and very manageable. I do suggest keeping these bad boys at least 26" from the canopy of you want your plants to really flourish.Look, if you want the best bang for your buck and really do care about quality and quantity, look no further than G8! Great job, G8! I will definitely reorder!
