I'll admit to being a little disappointed when I received this. The container and hardware seemed flimsy and I expected to be replacing it pretty soon. Things got worse when the scoop fell apart almost immediately and had to be fixed with Gorilla Glue.Well, it's grown on me! It does its job well keeping my beans fresh and the scoop is holding up. I like the gadget in the lid that lets me know when it was last filled and it's easy to clean.Would I buy another? Probably not, but it'll certainly do for the time being.

Ahh... coffee, the magic beans Jack didn't know of. It's one of life's smaller pleasures to open a jar of coffee and have a waft of that heavenly fragrance bathe your senses.That's what this little product enables. This really is a far better solution to storing coffee than normal jars, or in the manufacturer's packets. Especially if you get those freshly roasted beans. At 500 grams capacity, it's a good size too, since I generally order 250 grams packs in any case. But for larger families, or for heavy coffee drinkers, if you need storage for 1 kg of beans, you will fall short.It does have a breather valve, I am not sure how much breathing it really facilitates, I will update in a few weeks as I go along. There is also a date tracker on the top. That's too much really. I can't imagine someone actually sets the date they fill up the can. That feature will be safely ignored. Overall, it's a nice addition next to my french press and hand-coffee-bean-grinder.

It seals well and holds plenty of ground coffee, the clamping mechanism seems sturdy and the case is substantial, only time will tell if the spoon will hold together given the large hole in the handle for the rubber padding and the small area holding the handle to the body of the spoon.

This states it is a 22oz container (625ml approx). It is, in fact THREE times that size at 62.5 oz (1.8 litres). Having said that it probably holds 22oz in weight of coffee beans so be warned.It is not what I was expecting or what I wanted.However, it looks extremely well made and looks good as well so I will be keeping it - possibly for bigger packs of coffee beans or nuts.

I’m very fussy about my coffee and have been searching for a long time to find a suitable container to store it in. This is a great size and really is air tight. I also love the measure, which is safely stored on the side of the pot. You can even put the date of when it was filled on the top - however coffee in our house never lasts that long. Very pleased with my purchase.
