Easy install
Install could not have been easier. there is also a YouTube video you can watch if written instructions aren't enough. This isn't a complaint, but something to be aware of: it takes a loooong time to heat up but once it does it maintains temp very well. Go glad I got this 👍

Easy setup, warm floors, warm room - Issue with Thermostat
Let me start out by describing my room and my intentions; I live in new england where we experience all 4 seasons. I renovated a seasonal room (200 sq ft with tall 12 ft ceilings) so it could be year round. I had no source of heat in this room and my idea here was to have the floors, which sit ontop of a concrete slab, be the sole source of heat. I added insulation all around - ceiling, walls, etc.. I put down the underlayment they recommend with this product (I purchased from HD) before laying out the mats (4 of them).. Cutting grooves into the underlayment for the wiring was the most work and even that only took me 20 min for all 4. I wired all 4 to the thermostat (after testing them of course, and yes they were good to go) and turned on the provided thermostat (OJ Microline) - they took a couple of minutes but warmed right up. Not at all hot to the touch but warm. So now knowing the floor was operational it was time for the vinyl planks to go down. I did most of my floor only to be short on materials (thanks HD).. with the room 75% done for a week, until I got the rest of my flooring in, I was able to see what these mats would do for this room on a cold 20 degree night. They were able to keep the room at about 60 degrees when set to 70. I was happy about that. So with more time on my hands, I went ahead and added a 5th mat - this one smaller - 3x5 ft. Now having a total of 5 mats down (135 sq ft in total) and the floor complete the room was able to hold at about 65 degrees on a cold 20 degree night.A few nights later I started to run into a "Ground Fault" error from the thermostat. Reading up on this issue I was convinced one of the mats was faulty so I took apart the flooring to get to the wiring to test....all tested fine... So I went through to verify AGAIN what 5 mats puts out as far as wattage = 1640watts and the thermostat maxes out at 1800 watts (Wired at 120v, which is how I had it wired).. I reached out to OJ Microline who happens to be in Denmark and their response was to consult with an electrician - quick to respond but not so much help. I talked to my electrician who verified everything was wired correctly. So we replaced the thermostat with the same OJ Microline and currently (1 week later) not having any issues. I'm convinced the first thermostat was either faulty or it couldn't handle the 1640 total wattage being put out. I guess we will find out since the new one is still holding up and it's only been a week since writing this review. All in all I am thoroughly impressed with the mats and how easy it was to install - 5 mats in total. I may have to add an additional heat source to this room to handle cold nights (below 15 degrees) but my kids and I are happy with our warm floors. I am a little concerned with the thermostat failing again and have already done some research on other options for thermostats out there for heated floor systems. If I were to do this again, I would have gone with a different thermostat - maybe a more name brand. I will update along the way in I run into additional problems.

So glad someone is making this. Right here in USA I believe.
Pretty awesome. Put under a vinyl floor in my office. So glad they have something like this...it was perfect for my warming the concrete slab below my new flooring in our warehouse office. Probably will be enough heat to keep the whole 25x8 room warm without a space heater..we shall see. Very happy so far.

several attempts and does not work
Granted we installed it on the lowest floor in the house, a refinished basement into a media room, but it does not work as expected. It can not raise the temperature of the floor more than 8 degrees (meaning if the floor is 52 in winter it will not even warm up to 60. We tried a new subfloor, isolation, different barriers until the point of constantly resetting the laminate was a fruitless hassle. There is NO WAY AT ALL this product can justify its cost. Heated floors are awesome, just do not use this brand.

Worked perfectly the first time
I was surprised my contractors and floor guys didn't know about this product. I had to hire an electrician to install the extra 20 amp circuit and junction boxes. Then I had to instruct the floor installers on how to install these and they worked perfectly. I have three rooms in the basement that are cold all year round. I have a sun room that barley gets any air from the furnace and with these floors we didn't even have to worry about the forced air. These floors made a huge difference and after the first installation the rest where easy. The thermostat keeps it running when it gets cold and I don't have to worry about turning it off in the summer . I have not had a significant electric bill increase and we just had our second wither with these installed. Highly recommended but you do need to figure this out yourself as most contractors and floor installers I consulted recommended more expensive options.

The Thermostat is Junk
The problem with this system is the thermostat. Not only is it not actually made by QuietWarmth (when you get it, it will be in a QuietWarmth box, but inside that box is _another_ box from a different company!), but they seem to be quite faulty. On install, mine immediately tripped the ground fault. I went through and tested each mat individually, and none of them tripped it (meaning - no faulty wiring). Once I hooked up 3 or more mats, it tripped. Clearly the problem is the GCFI in the thermostat.Other reviews have mentioned similar problems, and even have that same problem occur a year+ after install. It's hard to recommend a product that's so faulty. I would try a different brand, if possible.

Good product, but does't work with all flooring
I noticed a few people mentioning the lack of good directions so I included photos of my wiring. I ran it with 120 volts. It takes a bit to warm up, but it does a nice job of keeping the floor warm if you turn it way up to like 80 degrees. Be very careful about the flooring you use it under. From my research, most vinyl plank floors do not support this type of heater, but some of the high end specifically says that it does. If you are using a more rigid system then most of them should work.

Perfect In Floor Heating
I’ve always wanted a heated floor in our master bath. Why, after expediting this luxury at many of the hotels I’ve stayed in, this was on our list of “must have” in our new home. Each morning as I get in and out of the shower, I am so pleased to have installed this heated floor. The installation, according to the installer, was simple and very easy to install under our waterproof flooring. So, now all I do is set the correct setting and the thermostat does the rest; keeping our master bathroom floor at just the right temperature.I highly recommend QuieteWarmth.
