For the amateur beard grower, it is important to use a wood comb versus a plastic one, as the plastic will transfer a lot of static electricity and make your beard go wild with excitement. The brush is long lasting and does a great job of following up the comb with fine/smoothing abilities.The small trimming scissors are perfect for making fine edits to random wild hairs; using electric hair trimmers is generally not recommended as it is far too easy for accidentally lopping off large chunks of hair.The beard balm is one of my favorites that I have tried out of many other brands, and it is the perfect blend of not-too-thick, not-too-thin consistency, and has a great light and clean smell that everyone would enjoy.The beard shampoo is a great addition, as I generally purchase this elsewhere, and it is again a good idea for both amateur and expert beard growers to use this to eliminate any dead skin cells from accumulating under the beard, while also nourishing the hair.Will buy again for myself or for a gift.

I was looking for a convenient and durable comb and scissors combo. Tje scissors I was worried about from other reviews... they arent cheap or flimsy. They're sturdy and solid, just thin metal. perfect size and sharpness to trim the mustache and high end enough that the brand logo is laser etched on it. The comb works as desired. I wasnt seeking a brush as I already had a cheap one I got at walmart. But after using this one I've learned boar brushes come in different densities. The walmart was stiff and scratched the skin in my beard. This one is more medium and softer. I like this one better and have only had maybe 8 bristles fall out. I prefer to comb, but have been using this brush to spread beard balm before heading out for the day and carrying it with me for touch ups. I likely over comb/brush, but I light my hair to be straight, am still "training" it, and I havent had any hairs pull out, so, I think I'm safe. I highly reccomend the set.

Great brush, and has really been helping keep my beard looking nice. My only complaint is the one I've seen pop up with quite a few other people and that's some of the bristles are loose and fall out.My suggestion is to thoroughly brush out any loose ones with your hand so nothing gets caught in your beard.Has been great otherwise.

This is actually the second one of these that I have purchased. It is a gift for my friend. The wood comb is of very good quality, and the brush feels great against your beard. The balm is very good and has a pleasant smell for what it is. The shampoo has a great aroma and leaves my beard feeling soft.Edited: after further trial i love the shampoo. You guys need to sell it stand alone with the conditioner.

Bought this set to tame an unruly beard. My wife was getting mad at me for constantly using her hair brush and this stuff bristled brush doesn't disappoint. It does a great job of scratching out my beard dandruff and straightening out the beard.As for the comb, it seems well made, but I don't have much use for it yet.The scissors are well made and quiet sharp. They make the job of trimming up those pesky whiskers quick work.

Very nice set and a good value. The wood comb is heavier than my other. One thing I do love about it is there's more teeth before the end. Other combs have a larger blank space. This helps a lot I'm my opinion. The bristle brush really smoothes out my beard. Very happy with this purchase. I would recommend it for sure.

Nice kit. The unscented beard oil is great if you are around people who are scent sensitive. Not too heavy or too oily... just how I personally like it. The balm is VERY conditioning, but not much hold. The comb and brush are pretty much the same quality as others in this price range. The bristles on the brush are shorter than many brushes on the market. Great for shorter beards or shorter areas of the beard. The scissors have the rounded ends and are nice if you need a set. The beard wash is nice. The directions say to massage in for 3-5 minutes. Haven't done this, but not sure I need to in order to sufficiently clean my beard and skin under the beard. Great set of you need all the extras, even if not, I still highly recommend the unscented beard oil.

For the price, you really can't beat this kit! The comb is large enough, the brush is soft without being mushy, the scissors are good, but a little flimsy, but very effective for the fine trimming. I'm new to grooming my beard and 'stache, and these are a great starter kit.
