Simple and effective
Simple installation; plug in the optical cables from source devices into the device inputs. Plug the device optical out into the target output device. Connect power.Very easy to switch on, switch between source devices and to switch off.No noticeable difference in sound quality. In summary, simple to use, unobtrusive, good sound quality, good value for money.

Needs a spare USB port or adapter to power
I've had this for quite a few weeks now and it has no issues with the remote. The switcher does what it's described as doing with no apparent glitches. Remote works well enough. I'm only a few metres away from the switcher so I'm not sure whether greater distance would be an issue. For the price and ease of use I have found this item spot on. It's worth noting that it does require a USB source to power it, but it does come with the appropriate cable ( just needs a spare usb port or a mains / usb adapter ).

3in1out optilink
Optilink works good it relays the sound as requested from each device. Good quality build also and nice and compact so can hide it easily

A little gem...well made and functional.
For those with multiple sources, but just one DAC, this is a boon. It's dinky and unassuming, but does an excellent job.Highly recommended.

Essential for good optical 5.1 sound
Many that have gone beyond exceptional TV visuals, to also achieve exceptional sound will know there are a few hurdles along the way. Sound has not been standardised in the same way as video has, and you will find some channels, and indeed some programmes have different codec methods in use. This can, and usually does result in the occasional lost of decoding sync. Thankfully not too often, but when it does happen you get a Donald Duck sound output, that can get stuck in the wrong decoding mode. It's especially prevalent when using optical.I have 4 off 5.1 decoding systems, and they all have this problem, even a high spec Sony AV Receiver, when using optical. As does even a bang up to date LD OLED TV optical output. The problem is really the broadcasters, for not properly standardising, and not using sound gaps when changing decoding mode, to allow the decoder to select the correct mode. The work-around is to use an optical switch. The 3 to 1 is ideal in my case, as it can provide a either my SkyQ or TV or None.Usually the SkyQ gives the best result for Dolby Digital (when setup), and the TV select supports as best it can on all its other sources. The critical one is the 'none', because it can be used for Mute, and also allows the decoder to synchronise the decoding to allow it to use the correct decoding method.

Works Great
Use this with my LG surround sound and it works great. Was having lots of problems with HDMI audio from Sky Q, a very common problem. This solved it, no audio glitches and can even be powered from the spare USB socket on the back of the Sky Q box. Had to manually set it up for my Harmony Hub remote, but it's only 4 buttons, so only takes minutes.Over all, a great device, and it's tiny, will really fit anywhere.

Great piece of kit
This works exactly as advertised. It is powered via any convenient USB socket and it will let you switch between your audio channels. For example, I've got one sound system fed via fibre optic from either a PS4 or from a desktop computer. It comes in a metal case, so it's robust, and best of all it stays where you put it: it won't get pulled around too much by the weight of the cables.
